This is the Lidl store near my house and I’ve been going to this same store at least twice a week for almost six months. It was upsetting to say the least. She had asked me my age, checked my ID but for some reason was still not satisfied @LidlGB very disappointing service today.

[Taieymie @Taieymie]

She only verified the purchase after he okayed it.
I don’t have any issue with my ID getting checked. I understand the need for compliance with regulations but I didn’t understand why the female staff needed the manager to double verify my ID.

So she could confirm from the image that it was me. After showing her the ID, she called for the store manager to come and check the ID saying they have to be sure so they don’t get in trouble. I had to stand there and get my ID checked again by the store manager

Had the weirdest experience at @LidlGB Tyburn road today. Went to buy flu medication and the system required staff verification. The female staff came and asked for my ID. I showed her my BRP on my phone. Back first because she wanted to confirm my age and then the front…..
