@stuholden@colincowherd The 2 hour window is big imo. I can MKS live in my market & its 3 hours from the time I leave the house until I get home on a Saturday night. Perfect.
@arberx_ We could make soccer the #1 sport in the USA tomorrow & it would still take 35 years to get a World Cup final because we don't know what we are doing & it takes generational knowledge to assemble a team capable of winning.

@AmericanHoolis Pulisic was poor, probably the worst player on the field but I'm not sure why we are singling him out? None of the starters covered themselves in glory. No one played to the level of the previous 4 games. Collectively the entire group lost before the kick off.
This World Cup has resulted in an unprecedented amount of completely fictitious quotes from notable public personas within the game. My feed has never been this unreliable.
USA has a bigger population than everyone not China & India. USA has the most wealth per capita than any other nation approaching our population. USA does NOT have a more athletic, genetically gifted or more intense sporting culture than anywhere else. Insanity to think we do.
The USMNT went from tournament darlings to villains overnight & it is all just so unfair & unfortunate. It CLEARLY affected them resulted in the worst round of 16 exit in National history. No part of justice was served, the red card, the reversal, State involvement & outcome.
A lot of king making has been done on behalf of Christian Pulisic since he was very young & everyone has just bought into it, including himself & the real tragedy is that he's at his best when he isn't the focus of play. He is the best role player on a good team ideally.
The United States doesn't want to hear it but until we are good at soccer we are not a legitimate sporting nation. You can try & rationalize it away with a bunch of bullshit arguments but we just aren't. Only the people living inside our tiny little bubble think we are.
“This is the best US team of all-time”
In 2002 the US beat Portugal in the group stage, eliminated rival Mexico in the Round of 16 and had Germany on the ropes in the quarterfinal. If not for Kahn and the screwjob missed handball, they’re in the semis.
Mexico & Canada go out & are PROUD they can hold their heads high. At least they fought. USMNT? Nope. Just embarrassment & disappointment & tears.
I just watched England fucking DIE ON THE FIELD on the ROAD at the TOP OF A MOUNTAIN for their country only to see this team play like SCARED CHILDREN at HOME with a BRIBE ADVANTAGE
A younger USMNT played a better Netherlands side closer and tougher than this four years ago, and did so halfway around the world.
Wonder what the biggest difference was. Any ideas?
