On one end you have people treating an unauthorized free unlock + a bad chat reply as a moral emergency that requires firings, public apologies, and various demands (including free in-game stuff for themselves). A lot of that energy is less about principle and more about score-settling or extracting something from the company.
On the other end you have people like Asmongold framing the whole episode as “the libs are mad, therefore we should collab with every edgy streamer and make it a culture-war spectacle.”
