Mayor @lennycurry did they ask why your priority is criminalization over prevention and intervention? Why are you spending peanuts ($300k)on “Stop The Violence” but $400k on a dog park? Don’t worry about answering..... #1City1Jax1Term#CrimeOnTheRise

Shoutout to everyone who came out last night!
In our breakout groups, we discussed the causes of violence in our city & unanimously agreed that poverty, lack of access to food, healthcare, etc are causes of violence & must be engaged, which isn’t done by throwing more $ at cops.
1. We at TakeEmDownJax take the false accusations made by the president of the FOP very seriously. We find these comments to be recklessly irresponsible and prove the very racial bias we speak about every day in our community.
1/2 Yet Wells Todd (JCAC), Ben Frazier (Northside Coalition) and their gangs of activists think police are the problem in Jacksonville. Maybe if they concentrated on the real problems and worked with police instead of fighting against them we could all make a difference.
@szonajaxfop @womensmarchjax_ To you?!
You’re upset your community wants their cops held accountable. It’s pretty telling.
You don’t want cops held accountable. Whiny juvenile. Grow up.
Your dog whistles and bullhorns aren’t divisive?
You’re a waste of time.

@szonajaxfop@JaxTakesAction Charges dropped on Law Enforcement has nothing to do with being “right.” Please explain why you feel cops shouldn’t be held accountable. Thanks!
3. We demand a retraction of these comments, also an apology to the over-policed populations in our city, the people of Jacksonville, and the people practicing non-violence of whom you choose to label as criminals.
2. These comments made are the same comments made time and time again by the police to criminalize black communities, since the beginning of law enforcement in this country.
