Well, this has been fun but we’re clearly on different wave lengths here. But, like I tell my fiance if we’ve been arguing “I don’t like to end the day being angry with each other”
So I’m gonna find some compromise. As someone who is a democrat but more of a center left guy, here’s what I think are common sense election reforms:
- Election Day is a paid federal holiday outside of essential workers. Or at the very least for essential companies, employees must be afforded time to vote on the clock during their shift.
- I’m not necessarily opposed to some kind of voter ID. But it must be free of charge. Not one cent can be charged to a voter for a physical ID. We must also have some kind of grace period for people to change their info and apply for this ID. The millions of Americans in unique situations of familial history and legal status must be afforded ample time to conform to the changes.
lol I never said that. I never even used the word popular. I’ve also never once claimed that California wasn’t slow.
But the reason I bring up Mississippi is because in 2024, they had counties at or below 50-75 percent reporting weeks after Trump won. Is this sketchy? This is according to MITs Election Data analysis. California was up there in time taken along with Mississippi, Alaska, Maine, Utah. A nice mix of liberal and conservative states.
It’s pretty interesting you should check it out.
Also, it’s called the Socratic method. You should check it out
lol you’ve never encountered someone at work or school who you personally hate and despise and can’t figure out why everyone else likes them? I have. It’s pretty common in society actually.
But again, your personal opinions don’t matter about who gets elected. I ask once again and I’ll copy and paste. Your claim is that California takes too long to count and therefore must be cheating. Please answer the below
No I switch to sarcasm because you refuse to act in good faith. You bring up these countries, you bring up these other things and then when I question or ask for further elaboration, you accuse me of changing the subject. Don’t bring examples or evidence you aren’t prepared to defend.
But let’s get on the same page here. I need to ask you a question for clarity sake so maybe I can get a clearer picture of your point. When say for example, Mississippi’s polls close at whatever time and the literal second they close all the networks report Trump or whoever has won Mississippi, are you saying Mississippi has counted 100% of their votes at that point ?
You posted a fucking photo of Democrat approval ratings in Congress! You did! Not me. You used that photo to imply that because democrats are unpopular in Congress, they must be cheating to win. Why would you use that if everyone in Congress is corrupt, including republicans? I mean Christ On the cross, I don’t know how you do it
Damn, you’re right. You got me. You win! I’m
Just another liberal scumbag. I thought about it and you’ve been right this whole time. A voice whispered to me “you know democrats cheat, you know it’s true” and it hit me like a ton of bricks. How have I been so naive? Im going to pray on my Trump bible tonight to seek guidance
@Yubiris_Perez@GuntherEagleman This is a republican majority congress by the way. 86 percent disapprove of the job they are doing. And again. I would even love just a smidge of credible evidence to show this decades long corruption and rigging
It’s a straw man lmao. You wondered how a country that large could count votes in one day. And I said it’s because they do voting for major elections over several phases for weeks. And then the count happens at once over 1 day at coordinated locations.
If Election Day was a federal
Holiday where everyone had a paid day off and we could close the polls by 5pm local time, I may be more inclined to hear about delays in counting.
I also encourage you, if you’re ever in a court of law, to tell the judge “it’s true and deep…deep down you know it”. Test that legal theory out
