Before I drop gotta say When You Smile was the coolest experience. Watching my first independent record grow & feeling like it's actually mine... hard to explain but it was fire.

PS: I'm aware that an 18hr rollout is insane but I promised myself (& y'all) that when I can drop music, I would drop music... so forgive the shambles promo while I have a little fun.

I have a feeling that elite producers (flume, skrillex level) will just use AI better. If they were creative 10 years ago, with old tech & maxed it out in new ways.. ofc those same instincts will apply with AI. Mastery + AI = goats with super powers. & will prob 10x what us regular folk can do.

Finally tried a few AI music apps. Initial thoughts… good news & weird news.

Good = for me, 1 thing was epic. I write random lyrics & mumble melodies in my iPhone 24/7. Testing these & getting to hear a decent vocal demo from a mumble or line same day is FIRE.

Bad / weird = 99% of the songs sounded decent & I see why it’s fun to use these apps… but sonically they sound muddy, thin, cheap &, idk how to put it but “odd”.

Imo, as of today, they are way farther from high level production quality than some claim.

BUT for 1%… I think it was 2 songs in total… hardddd. I’m talking creepy, industry-level slaps. Unsettling tbh.

I have no idea why tha 99% / 1% output happened. Curious if nobody knows, or have strategies.

& def down to test more. lmk what y’all recommend. I think I tried the popular ones but hmu if new or underrated apps are bangers. 🤝
