Great starting point is aging workforce. It's a significant burning platform. What seeds do we need to sow now to be the organisation we want to be in 5yrs.
The budget / finance view of structured cost centres and pyramids BUT we want work done cross function and pan silo. It should be fluid and dynamic.
This means get super tight with finance to help them understand how work gets done rather than how headcount is accounted.
First barrier for swp is lack of strategic vision, short term operational thinking, also lack of expertise in HR and appropriate tooling with ease of access.
Be constant, persistent, continue pitching at senior level around investing in systems / processes / tools
Stop rushing to solutions, really think about stickiness of value streams. Deal with today's pain points to demonstrate value in order to [build the credibility and trust] and be able to focus on the future.
@DavidAJaeger What channels / platforms would you say are the best avenues for econ chat? We run a very busy Whatsapp feed for people analytics and talent intelligence, I wonder if that could work for econ too?
