JUST IN | Karnataka is set to establish a new Department of Global Investment and Overseas Affairs to handle foreign delegations arriving with investment proposals. An identity card will also be issued to Kannadiga NRIs. The department will initially be headed by the Chief Minister. My friend’s father was at Kalakar Katta last Sunday for the protest against DJ & its deafening cousins. A media person asked him for a byte.
My friend’s father runs a clinic right in the heart of the city. He told the reporter in Marathi, I will give you a byte, but it won’t be my honest opinion. That one could get stones thrown at my clinic & my home.
And that 1 sentence, says a lot about the atmosphere around speaking up against the DJ/loudspeaker lobby.
