Serious matters...ciddi meseleler. Efendiler, iyi biliniz ki; Türkiye Cumhuriyeti şeyhler, dervişler, müritler, meczuplar memleketi olamaz. M.K. Atatürk
@hahussain The real question here is; Why does the US keep funding a foreign ally accused of severe human‑rights abuses/genocide, involved in repeated regional conflicts, responsible for the USS Liberty attack, tied to past espionage cases, and wielding outside influence in US politics?
@nikolayptsanov@DailyTurkic If you say so, you are entitled to your opinion. I did not include those terms; additionally, 30 million Azerbaijani (Turkish) people reside in Iran. Turkish people governed Arabia for centuries, so such claims make it difficult to take you seriously.
@nikolayptsanov@DailyTurkic The idea that a tiny Ottoman group “assimilated all Anatolia” is pure fantasy. Turkic beyliks, tribes, and Sufi networks were already everywhere for centuries. The Ottomans didn’t transform Anatolia — they unified an already Turkified landscape. History isn’t a fairy tale.
@mahanmhdv@ZannSuz@NYCMayor Scandinavian countries prove that social democracy can work. The issue isn’t the ideology — it’s corruption. Even capitalism can function well if it doesn’t corrupt the system. But when the core motivation becomes “get rich at any cost,” corruption becomes inevitable.
@mahanmhdv@ZannSuz@NYCMayor The tax system hits workers harder than the wealthy. Wage earners pay full freight, while high‑income households use investment income and legal accounting strategies to push their effective tax rates way down — sometimes to zero. So spare me the trickle‑down economy BS.
@nikolayptsanov@DailyTurkic We built empires together with those steppe peoples. Modern Turks don’t throat‑sing anymore, but many Central Asian Turkic groups still do — it’s just cultural heritage now.
@ZannSuz@NYCMayor Police, firefighters, public roads, and public schools are all funded by taxpayers. That’s exactly how a functioning society operates — through taxation and proper allocation of public funds. Supporting that system has nothing to do with being a communist.
@ragipsoylu As a defender of his country and people, Hector is the true hero. Our connection to the Trojans may not be genetic, but it is deeply spiritual.
