Children in Need Day is on Friday 18th November. The theme this year is the ‘great spot-tacular’. To celebrate this event, pupils are encouraged to attend school, dressed in bright colours, with spots or patterns.
There will be prizes for the best dressed pupils.
During this time of mourning, we will remain open to all pupils as normal, however we will be closed on Monday 19th September for the state funeral.
On behalf of Talbot House Trust, our thoughts and prayers are with the Royal family and the late Queen.

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, we are in a period of national mourning. On Friday we held an assembly in school where staff and pupils paid their respects with a minutes silence after listening to some facts and watching footage from a remarkable 70 year reign.
Please ensure your child is suitably dressed for the current weather temperatures. We will be providing plenty of water for the children throughout the day, to keep them hydrated.
Due to the weather temperatures over the next couple of days, we have decided to postpone our end of term trip to Lightwater Valley which is due to take place tomorrow. We are hoping to rearrange this for Thursday, we will update you as soon as possible.
School closes at 12:30pm on Friday 8th April for the Easter holidays and re-opens to all pupils on Monday 25th April at the normal time. All transport teams have been informed.
Letters are being sent out in the post tonight.
Happy Easter everyone!
INSIDE OUT DAY
‘Inside Out Day is a day for everyone to be involved in because everyone matters. It is a day when we think about mental health. Mental health relates to how we think and feel and how we manage difficult situations.
As we approach the end of the term, I would like to share our events.
Fri 10th Dec - Christmas jumper day
Mon 13th Dec - Enterprise day - Christmas crafts
Tue 14th Dec - Christmas dinner
Wed 15th & Thur 16th - Upper & Lower school rewards day
Fri 17th Dec - breakfast & Santa
Following the Government announcement on Saturday 27th November, we are asking staff and pupils to wear a face covering in all communal areas of school from today until the end of term.
Children can come to school in onesies/pyjamas although we ask that whatever they do wear, it is appropriate for school and will keep them warm. There will be a prize for the best outfit, a sweepstake and a bake sale.
