The greatest of all sins is a man's ability to decide that the truth is not important or not what they want to hear, so they turn away and look elsewhere.
The second greatest sin is a man's ability to convince other men that a lie is better than the truth.

Then it's a philosophical exercise to claim it's morally justifiable to line scientists up against the wall and execute them for crimes against humanity.
@StoryandSpirit@ThrillaRilla369 I would say it also depends on time of day.
Leaving them home in a good neighborhood between 8:00 at night and 4:00 am is a lot different from leaving them home from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
@TheAmishDude@RantyAmyCurtis Food is like a god to women. Especially childless women who have not metamorphed past the larval stage of "eating for one's own pleasure".
True socialism begins in the womb, but most women don't understand that this means the food they eat goes to nurture others.
The in-universe/Watsonian reason is that the Death Star was designed by Geonosians who are capable of flight, completely psychotic and have no concept of the value of an individual life anyway because they're bugs
The out-universe/Doylian reason is that George Lucas is insane (affectionate)
@MichaelFKane When I think about this, I'm more interested in the block and tackle system they must have used to raise that kind of dead weight up into the trees.
Counterpoint: totally understandable for people to claim fraud when a state takes a god damn month to count ballots, and races inevitably shift blue the longer counting goes.
Other large states like Texas and Florida do not do this. European countries do not do this.
Part of running legitimate elections is avoiding even the appearance of impropriety, and California has failed to do that.
@DieinPlace There are a lot of degrees that women have taken over the field for. Accounting, law, HR, etc.
Even if a young man gets a degree in these fields, the women will gate-keep him out of a decent, living wage.
Of course, they'll have excuses for it, but it's still gatekeeping.
@DougTenNapel If this is true, nobody should be persecuted for warning our more gullible relatives not to put all their investment funds into AI. And yet...
@DaddyWarpig I'm sure the US will be blamed when the Climate-Change "scientists" announce that the median temperature of the oceans around these data centers climbs by +.01 degrees over the next year or so.
In college my best female platonic friend was an amazing cook and I was embarrassed, so I made it my business to up my game and we wound up in a kind of strange one-upsmanship cuisine competition.
One day I over-spiced some Mexican food and she got so turned on by the rush she grabbed me and kissed me as I was walking by.
Thirty-odd years later, the competition is still going strong.
Good cooking is a high-level aphrodisiac. At least as good as dancing, and requires far less space.
Interestingly enough, the Dishwasher and HVAC you mention only exists because they were invented and improved upon before the working wives were forced to add all of their income into paying for the mortgage.
During the '40s through the '70s, disposable income funded R&D for most of our modern household "conveniences" simply because households could afford to buy them.
The way I see it, "alpha" is the original component sent out into the void. Call it "light", for lack of a better word. But when it combines with other components in a specific way, it forms more complex components, which combine to form even more complex components.
This is the simplest way to understand how the universe works.
And...oddly enough, it matches quite well with the "vision" the author of Genesis 1 had of the Creation story.
@MillerDakotaJ I just let my wife read my first draft and she lets me know if any of the female characters are saying or doing anything that says "a man wrote this".
