@REM__BEN It is flying at 60 kph relative to an observer on the ground, and 0 kph relative to the car. There is no such thing as absolute zero velocity. Even someone on the ground is traveling along with everything around them at the speed of the Earth's rotation.
@Bulvarpress "Oh but if payroll costs go up, so do the prices, and there won't be any affordable restaurants." Debatable considering everywhere else does this and is fine, but also... if your business model depends on paying workers less than $3/hour, maybe it doesn't deserve to go on.
@Bulvarpress Also, the price of the dish is based on how expensive the ingredients are/how hard it is to make, which are under the purview of the chef/cooks who don't get a share of the tip. You're being asked to cover the server's wage for carrying out a dish. 20 or 50 bucks, same thing.
@memeticsisyphus Which is better, everyone merging as soon as they see the signs and making the whole road go 10mph slower, or someone inevitably fucking up the merge, making the right lane stop to let them in, and slowing both lanes to 2mph for a mile and a half back
@KyleTrainEmoji Good catch, Captain. You clearly asked me to raise the shields, and I did not. In a case like this, that is not just an error - that's unacceptable. Let us try again. You tell me what to do, and I will keep it simple and we will go from there!
@trevorjamesg Hanta doesn't spread easily at all. AFAIK, everyone who got it was in close contact w/ each other, and nobody who wasn't on the boat or in extremely close proximity got it. Social media sensationalized it way more than it ever needed to be.
