There’s a deep malaise in tech right now.
—New grads can’t find jobs
—BigTech middle managers are trying to justify their existence
—Everyone not in AI wants to be in AI
—Founders struggling with their startup for years see Roy rewrite the rules
—Comp insecurity is at an all time high with the Meta offers (“why am I working so hard?”)
Tech, net of AI, is just not as sexy a job it used to be 10yrs ago.

I lead companies with 100s of team members
Most people overcomplicate leadership skills.
Here’s a simple tip with instant results.
I block my calendar EVERY Friday from 4-5pm for “Acknowledgements and Appreciations”
I have a document with each person in my life (work and personal). I take a few breaths and think about what has happened in the last week.
Appreciations are things they did for me directly that I want to thank them for e.g., “Thanks for covering for me in that meeting.” Or “I appreciate you for doing the dishes.”
Acknowledgements are things they are doing in general that are worth calling out e.g., “I acknowledge you for hiring a coach to improve yourself.” Or “I acknowledge you for balancing being a great mom and an amazing CEO.”
Everyone loves receiving these… But the secret is: I feel AMAZING by sending them. They remind me just how lucky I am to have all these people in my life.

Never regret a day in your life. Good days give happiness, bad days give experiences, worst days give lessons, and best days give memories.
—Professor Richard Feynman
Do not use your energy to worry. Life is too short to worry about stupid things.
Have fun. Fall in love. Regret nothing and do not let people bring you down.
Study, think, create and grow. Teach yourself and teach others.
