Burkley 2 Demo is Public to Anyone who wants to try it. Mostly the same as what was released last month with lots of little fixes. Read the notes on itch page - game is currently "jank." https://t.co/s9FV0nxbKt
@theastropath Yeah since we hadn't intended to release this a week ago, it's not a FULL DEMO like you would normally get in a game that was closer to release. It's just showing the state of the game as it is right now, just a few big bugs needed to be fixed first.
@OverworldUrto Yeah next update will have at least my representation of what their intent was. There are lots of things that were kind of dictated to me and I transformed them into design docs for implementation. The ORIGINALS will take scrounging but everything should see the light of day.
Posted an update on combat. https://t.co/fWMhywqtyV Next update will focused on story/writing and the original intent of B2 and where the current game is in relation to it. (Story is more important for B2, combat was just easier to distill and get out).
@AriaSalvatrice I feel the same way! Right now I am just doing a big, mildly stressful, update, good and bad. Where the game goes from here will be determined as things move on. Talked to cboy the other day and that was wonderful!
@servelius_servo hey update coming tomorrow about a possible v.slice and some explanations about missing and completed combat elements. later on I'll talk questing and story TO-DOs.
Greetings from established ToG villian, bhroom. Besides Barkley 2 dev being 100% dead, everything else you may have seen about the Great ToG Schism is pretty accurate. I owe everyone a long write up of the B2 SaGa. In the meantime, how should I address qs?
@Skeletondoggy Hi, sorry I missed this one, and also new developments were happening at that time. Cboy has reached out to us just yesterday. We all missed him. I won't try to paraphrase his reasons, but I'm certainly hoping to catching up with him more. Nothing but love for him.
@Black_R_Jesus we were adding cool stuff, but it was always just shy of this hypothetical threshold where I thought it would redeem the previous silence. So I kept waiting. It wasn't smart. I'm going to start posting some of the stuff we had made so everyone know where we are at right now.
I think of all the issues with the game the true and most egregious fault was lack of updates and transparency. That is all on me and I apologize to especially all the KS backers and to everyone else who cares.
@Anathema69 BBTTX is working, but lacks AI, which was a big cut we had to make. Right now it's just a local multiplayer game in what I guess you'd call a beta. The Gun's System is in and works and I can share more later. Fishing is in and works. Stretch goals vary, I'll cover those soon.
@LotusPrince@Anathema69 you're totally right, and even though it doesn't take a genius to know that going in, I still relied on that silence to keep some internal positivity. attempting the right way to do it from now on.
@DumbAnteater@kovalchek I think because we hadn't updated in a while, there actually has been a fair amount of stuff you haven't seen. it's too hard to but a % on it, but I will do my best in a KS update soon to break it down, then post it on twitter too.
apologies for missing responses... more factoids: I have 0 hard feelings for anyone on the team and did my best to keep everyone together. I definitely failed in that part. I still want the game to come out and nothing but time is really stopping it for now.
@Thewallcrusher Codewise nearly zero. It was made by someone completely parallel to the game. The only overlap was some controller code we made for both BBTTX and B2 proper. The idea was to make it a mobile game and then right at the end, stick it into a quest in B2.
@abhor_stickle I have good help I just need to budget the work to get it done. My first goal is to get back to square one on where the game is and why it's taking so long, and then I'll try to start shining light on the solutions. I have an awesome coder that can help me finish it already!
