This is 12-year-old Unaiz Khan, who tragically killed at his friend Navneet’s birthday party in the Krishna Nagar area of Lucknow on 2 March 2026. 

He was shot at point blank range in a devastating incident, and three other young friends who were at the party have been detained by the police.

My heart breaks for his family and for this bright young life taken far too soon. No parent should ever have to face such unimaginable pain and this situation is truly horrifying.

But, dear parents, the cruel brainwashing of a big segment of society is almost complete. 

This murder of a Muslim child should shake the society to the core. But you never know what excuses people will come up with. 

It is natural to be shaken and protective of our children in these situations. While it is extremely tough to discuss such truths with young children, I strongly advise you to have age-appropriate talks with them. 

Teach kids about safety in their environment and the world they live in. These are unpleasant conversations, but we must confront the reality. 

Please raise this awareness with your friends and family, remain in touch with your children, and encourage one another.
