Mostly posting these days as Co-Director for @ukyouth4nature. Otherwise Sustainability Officer @colpacpackaging and musing about wildlife/politics in between.
Beyond excited and proud to launch our biggest campaign ever - welcome to #NaturalKingdom#WildWalls, a public art campaign that highlights the links between nature and climate change and incredible species in towns and cities across the UK!
Like so many people I’ve been deeply disturbed by #saraheverard’s story, followed this week by so many harrowing tales from other women. I’ve written for @BirdwatchExtra@BirdGuides on how we can all make women safer in wild places https://t.co/1cLgH9xhly
My old(current) job at @nationaltrust is being recruited for (I leave in 3 weeks to head over to @ECIU_UK to lead on Climate and Land work).
It has been an incredible place to work for the last 3 years, with talented colleagues. Do apply!
@ukyouth4nature are looking for people to join our Advisory Committee - bringing more expertise into the movement and helping us to grow and kickass. Please do share!
CRUCIAL INQUIRY KLAXON! Thrilled to see @CommonsEAC@Dunne4Ludlow launching an inquiry into river pollution, there's so much that needs tackling. Here's where you can add your info and insights...

I had a fantastic time tuning into the #Communicate20 conference by @nat_his_con and running a Fireside Chat on youth political engagement for @ukyouth4nature - great to be able to talk about the broad definition of youth and the legitimacy of our voices.
Some incredible work done by a fantastic team - today @ukyouth4nature is launching its #NatureNearby campaign. #COVID19 has shown us how important access to nature is. However, #EqualAcess is not a given and so much of that nature isn't in good enough condition.
Today we're launching our amazing #NatureNearby campaign demanding greater investment in giving #EqualAccess to everyone. We sent a letter to @BorisJohnson this morning signed by 50+ organisations and this is just the beginning. https://t.co/mAKUaJgCJf
Over half of the UK's wildlife sites are in 'poor' condition. Nature is proven to have huge benefits for peoples health and wellbeing. #EqualAccess to nature is a social and human right. Better quality nature is essential for #biodiversity and fighting #ClimateChange.
Seagrass meadows are a powerful nature-based climate solution. 🌱
They are responsible for more than 10% of carbon buried annually in ocean sediments.
#Seagrass also aids #climatechange adaptation by boosting #food security.

Whilst I'm mostly posting as @ukyouth4nature these days - I couldn't agree more! Sandom @Nature_Based was a huge part of my master's dissertation on urban rewilding, so this is a great place to start if you're not sure where to begin...

Rewilding! Rewilding? Rewilding?!
Confused by rewilding? Check out the thread below from @nature_based with input from our friends at @HealRewilding (and closer friend, @JamesNaturalist).
Still confused? Drop us a message! Our resident rewilding enthusiast @TaliaDLG can help!
We're always told to protect those vulnerable habitats aren't we? It's taught in classes, it's emphasised in legislation, it is even talked about in public speeches.
Yet here it is being ignored by mayor @AndyBurnhamGM who seems intent on removing the ecosystem entirely?
Today is the UN Summit on Biodiversity - another major day in the political calendar to lament the state of global nature. At Colpac, we know we have a lot of work to do but we're not scared to make those leaps forward.

Switzerland has voted to keep EU’s freedom of movement rules. Switzerland is not an EU member and polls suggest majority prefer to retain sovereignty over laws and borders BUT most voters opted today to keep ties with EU (economic benefits)👇 https://t.co/TiemQZdtad
