It’s women’s unpaid labour that practically builds families and keeps households functional. Let me talk about medicine and caregiving, mainly.

Women make ~80% live organ donors while men make ~80% live organ recipients. Why?

Women who require extensive medical treatment are oftentimes abandoned by husbands and/or in-laws.

Women are more often than not told they are over exaggerating their real symptoms. If this isn’t gender based discrimination, idk what is.

Women are also default care-givers (again unpaid) whether or not they have jobs or their own illnesses. In spite of taking care of the “breadwinners” women are valued below sub-human.

In lower income families, men and women both are earning members. But while men come home from work, women begin another shift after coming home from their paid jobs. Only this time, this work is unpaid. And thankless.

All the unpaid work in the homes that women are expected to do as wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, etc stop women from having the time to study and work. Women’s ‘time poverty’ is created solely by men and patriarchal women. And then men complain that “all the important jobs are done by men” and refuse to acknowledge that men have kept women out of education and jobs for centuries in the first place. They used to burn fearless women with opinions at the stake as witches.

Even sick days for women at home are non-existent.

And men have the audacity to say “what do women contribute to”? You are literally living because we birthed you, surviving longer because we are more diligent caregivers than you will ever be (fact), and outliving your failing organs because we give you ours without expecting you to do the same for us. Men are the only gold-diggers.

- A man starts chatting with their teenage daughter at the mall.
- They have a baby girl and suddenly see the world differently.

Then, all of a sudden, they know men. They know the risks. They know why women are cautious.
