I liked the pressing action of our top 4, but then Tielemans and Mainoo had to cover all of midfield themselves and they couldn't plug all the holes. I wonder if we just played that was for Fulham, but that worries me.

Yikes. We do not look good. The attacking and pressing energy that put us up 2 in the first 10 minutes was great.

Just about everything after that was pretty poor. It felt like no one played well. All disjointed after the beginning.

Ugh. You want to be able to beat your rivals at their best. But even up a man, we can't win or generate all that much of an attack. Our defense is just so fragile.

I liked the win, but it felt like there was a drop-off in the back-ups. Hopefully, it is just a lack of playing time. But I'm definitely concerned about depth as the season progresses.

After the first two games, I'm glad #MUFC rejected whatever bid any team made for Rashford. He is definitely worth more than that.

I'll count Rashford as the LW signing.

But two fullbacks and a striker are what I wanted at the beginning of the summer.

Santos to replace Ugarte was an extra signing made necessary from the latter's injury. But will Baleba really need to play some LB this year?

Frustrating and disappointing. All you can really say is Hull played well and beat us. We have to play better to win.

Rashford looked good. The new midfield, too. But just not clinical enough to get the right chances against a team that defended well.

That's still a lot for Baleba, but considering what the price would have been last year, this feels like good patience and sensible business.

It also helped that Casemiro raised his level immensely last season.

I'll take Santos and Tielemans instead of just one big signing in the middle for the depth. But it feels like we do still need to make one last signing in midfield.

The deals seem smart, staying out of the big money. But I hope not signing Anderson doesn't become a regret.

We really didn't play that well except for 15-20 minutes in the second half. But great to get a shutout and 3 goal win. Great sign heading into the summer break!

So many chances at the end with Bruno trying to get that assist record. Mbeumo finally gets a goal after probably escaping a handball call on Cunha's goal.

The team played how I like my steak: medium well.
