@EdwinZeelen@johncampea @roe66258_burton Nothing to overdo. I enjoy the MCU, but no single movie in the franchise is as good as Spider-Verse imo. Very few people will boycott a dang thing. People were sooo against Venom and it made $1 billion at the box office.
@EdwinZeelen@johncampea @roe66258_burton For you maybe, but for Sony it is. Sure every studio wants to put out a good product everyone loves, but in the end Sony wants to make as much money as they can with each release...that’s business.
Also Into the Spider-Verse is better than every single MCU movie imo.
@EdwinZeelen@johncampea @roe66258_burton You’re talking a story aspect which I get. Im saying Sony business wise was better off no conceding to an unfair request from Disney. They will make more money without Disney than 50% with Disney.
@EdwinZeelen@johncampea @roe66258_burton They made money with Spider-Man long term before Marvel entered into the equation. Best way to put it is Sony has made more money with every single live action Spider-Man outside of the MCU than what they would with 50% of FFH. They are better off alone money wise.
@EdwinZeelen@johncampea @roe66258_burton How will they fail if they make more money that they would with the deal? Even if with Marvel their movie does a billion they get $500 million. Even ASM2 which was a disappointment to them grossed $700 million. They make more money going at it alone.
@MoviesMatterPod @TJReviewsFilm @imdbjourney @InSessionFilm@kolbytoldme I guess with the Regal it depends where your local theater falls into with the tiers. My local one is in the lowest tier so $18.99 for unlimited works well for me.
@NextBestPicture Looks damn good. Now just wondering if it will come to my local Regal at all to use my pass on. Otherwise I pay to see it at Cinemark.
@notnyloraced I’ve gotten spoiled by 4K so I couldn’t pass the $100 set on amazon for all 8. Your local library should also have them all to borrow though.
Very disappointed to read the reactions to #TheGoldfinch because I was really looking forward to it. I’m still going to see it, but with tempered expectations. Bummer.
@TJReviewsFilm Agreed. The leads have worked together in Thor, but it felt like they had no chemistry in International. The plot was bland and the action was even more bland. I didn’t find it bad so much as completely forgettable which is worse imo.
@SoImaginative That’s good to read about Book of Life. I just picked a copy up from Best Buy not long ago and plan to watch it soon. I loved Ex Machina though.
