@DanWolken@PopulusVox They aren’t freezing membership. The bill allows them to expand. And that is how they will get around this without forming a super conference.
@AndyStaples@AriWasserman Big 10 and SEC will expand until the math is in their favor. They will work together without it being a super conference. This is allowed per the bill. They will then hold all the cards and create whatever TV deal they want with the 48 or so teams that they have.
@duckduckmariota@RossDellenger@YahooSports The billion in revenue was only in reference to consolidating. The two conferences can still grow independently while “working together” without consolidating.
@duckduckmariota@RossDellenger@YahooSports “The bill does not address or prohibit conference expansion.” They can expand without consolidating. Once they expand, they hold all the cards.
@RossDellenger@YahooSports What will happen is the Big10 and SEC will expand until they collectively hit a membership number that prevents lesser conferences from hitting 75%. This will create the exact thing they say they are avoiding: the super conferences.
@qb_country @YouTube This 4th qtr conversion was the play of the game, IMO. The development of Ty and the faith the staff has in him, has been so fun to watch unfold.
@qb_country Agree. But the rotating 6 games can be worked in such a way that it is generally an equitable 9 game schedule each year. I might be giving the SEC too much credit to do this, but it can be done.
@Ourand_Puck@PeterHamby@PeterHamby I would love to see your “group of LSU fans.” We get it, you missed out on the passion of college football so you’re bandwagoning on your boyfriend Burrow’s team. Newsflash: that fan base would eat people like you for lunch and shove you in the proverbial locker.
Alternative headline: “Ennis Whatley plays crucial role in Michael Jordan’s first career dunks, leading to Air Jordan empire.” @BamaHistory@msouthern17
