@borneobrian Wally has gone up against both Eobard Thawne and Hunter Zolomon as Reverse Flashes! For Thawne his most famous encounter is in The Flash #74-79 as part of The Return of Barry Allen story!

@Keystone_Devil It’s a bit funny to me, since their merchandise and several creators have confused Thawne and Zolomon for each other more than most fans do. I wouldn’t put it past Thawne to try to grab an earlier version of Hunter to join his team though! Like Hunter did for him in Rogue War!

#TheFlash Family vs the Legion of Zoom looks like it’ll be amazing on every level! I have to admit, I’m surprised at some of the people Eobard’s recruited since he’s not a big fan of The Rogues... but we’re finally getting the return of Thaddeus Thawne/Inertia! #dccomics

@Keystone_Devil Yes! They seem to believe we’ll get confused if they use both names regularly. They don’t seem to like having both Thawne and Zolomon active as Reverse Flashes at the same time either, or even Daniel West using the Reverse Flash name when they wanted to bring Eobard back.

@FredWhut At least not at this point in their lives! We’ve been told that the Rogues spent some time fighting off Thawne in the past too, even though we never really saw that ourselves. I feel like the Rogues have strayed a bit from what they’re supposed to be lately.

@FredWhut We’ve come up with some truly awesome Inertia ideas in our talks, I hope that we can see him used similarly to some degree in the upcoming stories! I do think that’s very odd too. I don’t understand why any Rogues would work with any Reverse Flash or vice versa

@FredWhut Hahaha! Absolutely not!!! There’s always a ton of Thawnes to draw from somewhere in his timeline! It’s too bad Hunter didn’t think to do it again after Running Scared, since he’d already used that method in Rogue War to bring him back for a bit!

He also seems to borrow a lot from the Crime Syndicate’s Johnny Quick with his drug use and complete sociopathy. His obsession with Caitlin reminds me of comics Eobard’s obsession with Iris for a time though.

CW’s Eobard Thawne borrows so much from Hunter Zolomon just like their Barry Allen borrows a lot from Wally West. I do think that it resulted in a very compelling amalgam character though. #TheFlash #ReverseFlash

The show’s version of Hunter/Zoom tried to keep some of comics Hunter’s traits that their Eobard used and made some things feel too similar. Though he also borrows heavily from Inertia, wanting to take The Flash’s speed like in Bart’s short Flash run after using Velocity drugs.
