You could use View Transitions to create those word carousel-type effects 😍

}

animation-name: slide-up;
}

How To
1. Create a paragraph split into spans
2. Set an interval in JavaScript that swaps out the accent word
3. Set a view-transition-name on the accent word and the last span

Then you've got a responsive word carousel with View Transitions 🤙

I taught myself Python a decade ago.

10 years later, I teach Python and use it for research in AI and Cryptography.

If I had to start over, here is how I would master Python:

Step 1. Get Comfortable

Find an easy tutorial. Here are some options:

• Learn Python - Full Course for Beginners by FreeCodeCamp (YouTube)
• Python for Beginners - Learn Python in 1 Hour by Programming with Mosh (YouTube)
• Python Crash Course by Eric Matthes (Book)

These resources are designed to make you fall in love with Python, not scare you.

Step 2. Hands-On Experience

Once you’re past the hello-world phase, get your hands dirty. You need to practice, a lot.

Google Colab is a fantastic playground—no installation.

These resources have good projects:

• 100 Days of Code - Learn Python on Replit (course)
• Automate the Boring Stuff with Python by Al Sweigart (book)

Step 3. More Advanced Learning Free Resources

If you think you could use more advance knowledge, there are many in-depth Python resources. Some of my favorites:

- Serious Python (Book)
- Learn Advanced Python 3 (Codecademy)
- Intermediate Python by FreeCodeCamp (Video)

Step 4. Expand Your Knowledge

After you’re comfortable with Python, expand and pick a project, anything, just make sure it’s interesting to you.

Thanks to its many libraries, you can work on web development, machine learning, data visualization…the options are endless.

Step 5. Write More Code & Enjoy

There’s no way around it. You have to code. A LOT. Quick tip: ChatGPT can help you greatly throughout your journey.

And remember…

Nobody knows everything. I didn’t become an expert overnight, and you won’t either. But every line of code gets you closer.
