Zubac is making $19.5M/yr next two seasons & a top 10 center despite being paid 14th. Only making 53% of the 8th highest paid and only 36% of the 5th highest.

The steal of a contract and fit of filling a gargantuan need is 100% worth a 5th pick that’d be coming off the bench

They likely would be choosing from a group of guards at pick 5 which is not a weakness and you couldn’t go into next year with Huff as your starting 5

He shoots over 60% from the field which with four perimeter shooters around him he doesn’t need to shoot the 3. Mathurin likely leaves in the offseason or costs too much for this roster

Zubac is an elite rebounder. They’ve got lineup flexibility if needed for perimeter centers, but he fits well with the rest of the roster
