We had an amazing 8th grade student with growth of over 2 years and 3 months in math this year!

She completed 3,375 problems and logged 35 hours & 11 minutes on IXL Math.

I always love getting cool gifts from students and most of them know that the giraffe is one of my favorite animals.

Here’s what I tell them about the giraffe helps us all remember important life lessons.

- Reach for the Stars!
Giraffes are very tall, which reminds us to dream big and always try our best to reach our goals.

- See the Big Picture
With their long necks, giraffes can see far and wide. This teaches us to look around, think ahead, and make wise choices.

- Stand Out & Be Proud
No two giraffe spots are exactly the same — just like no two kids are exactly alike! The giraffe reminds us it’s great to be yourself.

Being a school leader and spending a thirteen-hour day with students and staff remind me that diversity isn’t just what we see — it’s what we feel: the mix of cultures, stories, dreams, and voices that make our school come alive.

Middle schoolers have a way of keeping life real — they make you laugh, challenge your thinking, and inspire you to keep growing right alongside them.

Today was that day fo me! From visiting parents, to seeing our amazing orchestra prepare for the All County Concert, to watching our community share how to keep students safe were all examples of how our community comes together.

I wouldn’t have it any other way!
