BREAKING - I just had an interesting conversation with a well placed source in Ottawa.
Apparently Carney has deliberately scuttled the trade negotiations with the USA so that he can ramp up another Elbozo fear campaign.
I have been saying for well over a year that Carney is deliberately destroying our trading relationship with our largest customer for his own nefarious reasons - in part dictated by Carney’s masters in China.
The Liberals and their accomplices in the bought and paid for media will be screaming about how Canada is “under attack” by President Trump and that Canadians all need to rally around the flag.
The timing of this serves multiple agendas.
1. The Liberals foolishly think this will undermine Alberta Independence.
2. The Liberals want to undermine Paul St. Pierre Plamondon who is poised to become Premier of Quebec.
3. The Liberals want to distract from their devaluation of the Canadian dollar and create the conditions to force Canada closer to China and into the European Union.
DON’T BE FOOLED. CARNEY IS RUNNING “SAFE AND EFFECTIVE”, “ELBOWS UP” 3.0.
This is not good for anyone other than Carney, Brookfield, Communist China and the Liberal Party of Chinada.
Don't stop questioning why we cannot find a negotiated end to this Trade War
Never forget the Prime Minister & his Government WERE a couple hours away from signing Booze back on the shelf & PERMANENT Tariffs on many items & mutual Security & Resource Guarantees
Don't be fooled
Every Politicians In Canada Is Saying The Same Thing: If All Canadians FIGHT We Will WIN Against America
If you question anything you are labeled a Maple Maga, or a traitor or just stupid
This is the ETERNAL system to manufacture CONSENT in a Country
Don't accept this

Despite some recent measures, Canada is nowhere near close to having free trade across all provinces and territories, which amounts to a 9.5% to 10% tariff on goods traded within Canada. The premiers and territorial leaders need to address this.
Finally got around to listening to Carney's presser.
The devil is in the details, as they say. But as others have correctly pointed out, there are virtually no details related to why this was a "bad" deal for Canada - and why the PM directed his negotiators to leave the bargaining table. Small hints and asides, but little else.
This is a light summation, not a detailed explanation.
If you're content with Carney's spin, congratulations. I'm not -- and many others aren't either.
More to come (from me) next week.
For this morning:
The big news of the week didn't really hit me until we got to the weekend, but I guess these trade talks between the US and Canada were important.... to someone. No offense to the Canadians in the audience but we really have bigger fish to fry in that we know y'all are just pawns on the big gameboard.
And that's a shame. It shouldn't be this way, but, as always, divide and rule is the strategy. There are tons of reasons for this and a lot of them were on display by PM Mark Carney this week.
Unfortunately, no matter how much you try to rig our markets here in the US, once we decide to play for keeps, there is a limit as to how far you can push things. Bonds are screaming that someone is in serious trouble, and we saw way too much discordant movement into Friday's breakdown of talks.
Don't think for a second that Carney ever wanted to make a deal. He played the cards he had to inflict political damage on Trump to no avail. Trump chose when these cards would be shown. He chose now, after Bessent's yentervention and his expansion of the Treasury's reverse auction program.
Davos and London would rather die than let Alberta and the US stitch themselves together tighter. This breakdown may signal there is still going to be something ugly done financially before the mid-terms.
Elbows up, eh!

"America is trying to break us so they can own us. That will never, ever happen."
— Carney
He is exploiting the severe and rampant TDS and ADS that plagues Canadian Libs.
And sadly, it's working.
Let’s not forget who Carney hired, only weeks ago, to manage his office - an American Democrat who worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
Let that sink in. She has close ties to the Democratic Party and the Dems don’t want to see Trump win especially with midterms in November.
There was never going to be a trade deal before the midterms. Never.
I guess this Fat Fuck forgot about the $75-M anti-American ad which had Ronald Reagan quoted out of context. I do recall the booze ban as well.
He instigated a lot of shit while ignoring our province.
Watching the Canadian woketardian brigade cheer trade talks with the US falling apart is truly something to behold.
As hard as it is to believe, their left might be dumber than ours.
They’re actually under the impression that Canada will come out on top. 🤣
@wealthmoose@MarkJCarney What a fucking liar, again. Gordy Howe bridge deja vu. And back to the scare tactics. Trying to make Trump the boogy man. Just like last campaign. He fucked it up by pandering to quebec and their mafia style dairy cartel. Not culture and sovereignty, that's misdirection.
@wealthmoose@MarkJCarney This is typical Liberal BS. Say in French what you wouldn’t dare say in English, to boost support in Quebec and to avoid getting called on it by the U.S. press. Meanwhile, have the English speaking media in Canada run cover bcuz you bribe them constantly.
Under Article 32.10 of the USMCA, if a member country wants to start free trade talks with a "non-market economy" (widely aimed at China), it must tell the other members three months before talks begin.
This term was already in the USMCA, the fact we're picking China over the US is crazy.
If anyone bothers to read the U.S. National Security Strategy, a limited demand of that sort should not have been a surprise. It was likely directed at China with respect to allowing ownership of sources of strategic materials in Canada. Albeit, such demands would seem to be an unworkable show stopper we just missed get not get around them.
It's not just American booze that will cost more. Canada relies heavily on the United States for infant formula. The majority of infant formulas approved for sale in Canada—historically over 90% and encompassing four out of five major manufacturers approved by Health Canada—are produced in the U.S.
Carney says he will match tariffs dollar for dollar so he will recoup losses in steel and lumber by making Canadian newborns pay more for their bottle.
Canada went through a severe and prolonged infant formula shortage from 2022 through 2024,
Why are some of us truly awake to what’s going on, and the majority don’t have a clue?
Do you think some of us were chosen for this moment in history?
I’m trying to get my head round why we can see it, and others can’t. Does that make sense?
It’s interesting seeing the different levels of awakening happening right now. I get people all the time asking why I’m so sure things are going to be great, why many of us are optimistic and why we show no fear.
So, why us?
