Had a long talk with @TTChilders and @silasdhouse about allyship, rural life, art as politics, Tyler’s new album and their spectacular new music video for “In Your Love” https://t.co/eoeN1ijEst
‼️Why Kids Quit Sports‼️
70% of children are dropping out of organized sports by the age of 13.
5 main reasons:
1. It’s no longer fun.
2. They have lost ownership of the experience.
3. They don’t get playing time.
4. They are afraid to make mistakes.
5. They feel disrespected.
Therefore…it is our obligation as coaches, parents, and adults to:
1. Create life-giving experience.
2. Instill a “Get to vs. Have to” mentality.
3. Set up value system not based on playing time.
4. Encourage risk…”If you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t doing anything.”
5. Love BIG!
Ted Lasso did something not many TV shows have. Challenged us to be better humans. If you really listen to what the show is saying we can all learn something. The best thing we can do is to keep asking for help and accepting it when you can.
Be a goldfish. #TedLassoFinale
With mature love, we show up as a complete adult.
We don't view our partner as perfect or as a way to escape our own lives. We view them as a support system. As our truth teller, even when it's uncomfortable.
We release the idea of a fairy tale.
Guys it was a joke. Im a huge Jason Isbell fan. Was listening to the DBT’s in 7th grade. Just think it’s funny when people say that and are actually serious.
I am forever grateful to the city of Atlanta and the Braves for the last 6+ years of my life. God has blessed my family and I with so much from our time in Atlanta, for which we will never take for granted.
Kevin Stitt and Ryan Walters owe our kids, our teachers and all Oklahomans so much more than they've given them.
Being able to lead this state is an honor and a privilege. My expectation is that they will work to be worthy of that privilege.
Not my hope - my expectation.
