@Dolfijnmanjohns@faithandheresy I was there from day 1. There was no "lore" for 40k and most of the designs were lifted from other franchises.
The only "lore" were tiny snippets of tales in the first rulebook in 1987.
It wasn't until 92-93ish when Codexes came out and had a bit more backstory to them.
@paleochristcon@Timcast Here you go, just a quick search you can easily do to start you off:
Candace Owens, Nara Smith, Hannah Neeleman, Heritage Foundation, Bishop Robert Barron, Dale Partridge, Joel Webbon....
Back in the day we had a website for people like you: https://t.co/LQBpKL3j0Z
@paleochristcon@Timcast Andrew is shitty wannabe debater that uses known tricks to try to "prove" his point or shift goalposts.
Just like in this clip, he can claim he's never seen this (she can't prove he has) and then wants specific names narrowing the target to a point so small she can't "win".
@faithandheresy That's alway been my main problem; minis.... I love so many ranges.
I also have Warmachine, FoW, Team Yankee, etc.... it just goes on and on, lol
Khador and Cygnar!
@faithandheresy Painting armies/mini is my bread and butter and most of it (98%) is GW minis.
I haven't played a game in probably 20 years.
Love the lore, don't care about supposed RetCons, and love a wide range of all their mini ranges.
I do enjoy watching "nerds" rage at each other though.
@faithandheresy@Crossface02 On my side, it doesn't really matter either way since I'm more of an Alpha Strike or Hexless play style these days.
I've already paid my dues crunching numbers playing BT for the first 20 years of its life.
@faithandheresy@theistinthought Normally I'd just wait for the apple cart to come down our block.
Most days the horse shit was simply too deep to wander to the market.
@cliptis86 I guess it would interesting to at least see a separate leaderboards for people that play like this.
I grind like a madman, so it could be cool to see where I stand.
