FICCI welcomes the @RBI’s decision to reduce the repo rate by 25 basis points. This calibrated easing will help stimulate credit offtake, reduce borrowing costs for industry and consumers, and reinforce the current growth momentum. The upward revision, as announced in the policy today, of estimated GDP growth for current fiscal to 7.3% from 6.8%, combined with a stable and benign inflation outlook, reflects the continued resilience of the Indian economy and the positive impact of sustained policy and reform measures — including the rationalisation of GST. The additional liquidity measures announced, such as the forex swap facility, will meaningfully strengthen market confidence and support investment flows. Today’s monetary policy sends a clear and reassuring signal — that policy instruments are being actively deployed to safeguard India’s growth trajectory and support economic expansion amid a challenging global environment: FICCI President Mr @anantgoenka19.

#WATCH | Delhi: President of FICCI and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Emami Group, Harsha Vardhan Agarwal says, "The key priorities that FICCI has decided for this year will be in line of the vision of PM for a Viksit Bharat... As a chamber and industry body, we have seen manufacturing is a very important area and that is why Make in India is our priority. Manufacturing contributes 15% to India's GDP. Our aim is to take it to 25% for which a lot of our support will be to SMEs- their growth and improvement in their capabilities. Inclusive growth is very important for Viksit Bharat. We have two themes which will be our priority areas- women empowerment, and rural prosperity... Sustainability will also be another priority for us."
