@Alan_Couzens My personal recommendation is that, if you do this, then also treat sleep as an appointment with yourself. Athletes often choose training over adequate sleep, to their detriment.
Note to newer ultra runners: sometimes hunger presents as nausea. Put more food in. If it comes out again it's a net zero result but if it stays down you'll be ahead. Sloshy gut after you eat? You probably need MORE water, not less, to create an easily digestible concentration.
@Faceman_TX@StephenKing@tiktok_us What makes you think that "China or anyone else" coming for Americans would choose to engage in a relatively close, land-based assault on civilians bearing AR-15s? Is this a common approach for major powers?
@SageCanaday I think double days are a great way for mere mortals like me to build without massive weekly volume because they also increase our rest blocks. If I train morning and night then don't train the next day, I get a ~36 hr rest window and a sleep in. The rest part is key, though!
@runcamille I missed out on seeing this performance in person but I'd love to see what your crew does โ how often you grab something from them/your table, what they're tracking, what food and drink prep they do โฆ can we get a clip of the crew in action?
@SageCanaday I never considered applying for BM because the entry process โ knowing someone who could help you find out where to send an application letter at the right time to be valid โ seemed to be just another "old boys club" that I didn't want to be a part of. Has that changed yet?
@jeannie_brady@SageCanaday Yes, but you still have a hard time convincing triage staff that this is alarming. My resting HR is in the low 40s and I presented with mid 70s and no one cares.
@_chismosa_ My understanding is that it's all about drinking lots of alcohol at night and spending your days hungover in a cheap hostel, but that might just be backpacking in Australia.
