@nikoliasgoninus@Beth_Kindig You are right, I don’t have any special insight. Just skeptical. AMD is not going to get allocation from TSMC that both Apple and Nvidia want.
@treasureh8nter I am very skeptical of this. AMD depends on the allocation they received from TSMC. Nidia and Apple want all of TSMC’s allocation. I doubt very seriously that AMD can grow in any meaningful way.
@nikoliasgoninus@Beth_Kindig I am skeptical. NVIDIA & Apple want all the extra allocation from TSMC. I am skeptical that AMD can get any meaningful increase. I suspect that is why Lisa is talking with Samsung
@IntelBull_ Intel cannot sign a foundry customer. They have 50% more demand than they can satisfy. So, the math doesn’t math. Not possible to sign external foundry client
@IntelBull_@IntelBull_ I think one detail needs to be factored in to this analysis: INTEL Cannot satisfy the demand from its own customers. It has an additional 50% demand. So, unless math does not math, it is an impossibility to have an external foundry customer.
@awakenowzone@Noobverest This is the correct reasoning. AMD allocation at TSMC is fixed. They can’t have any additional CPU’s no matter what AMD is willing to pay. Intel on the other hand…. Has foundries:)
@alfredosoto According to ai, AMD is only being granted 5 to 7% maximum allocation from TSMC. Nvidia and Apple get preferential treatment. AMD cannot get any additional allocation because Nvidia and Apple want all of it.
@nikoliasgoninus@Beth_Kindig According to ai, AMD is only being given 5-7% of TSMC allocation, can’t be increased, because Nvidia and Apple want all of it. Apple and Nvidia get preference- not claiming to be smart, just asking questions.
@JorgeFranc97ko@Beth_Kindig I don’t think this is accurate. AMD is Very constrained by the allocation that TSMC gives them. They can’t pickup any slack. There production is fixed. Can’t increase. AMD is a chip designer, Intel is a foundry and can fabricate.
@ALPHABIGDOG2@Beth_Kindig I don’t think this is accurate. AMD is Very constrained by the allocation that TSMC gives them. No reason to call Lisa, amAMD and its production is fixed. Can’t increase. AMD is a chip designer, Intel is a foundry and can fabricate.
@jiLLzWorth @Beth_Kindig I don’t think this is accurate. AMD is Very constrained by the allocation that TSMC gives them. They can’t eat the overflow. There production is fixed. Can’t increase. AMD is a chip designer, Intel is a foundry and can fabricate.

@imnotharsh@imnotharsh not possible, AMD can only sell what TSMC can fabricate. TSMC allocation to AMD is very constrained. Intel has its own fabs. Supply is growing fast!
@jukan05@iammoai1 From my investigation, Intel has no allocation to provide to AMD. Intel cannot satisfy the demand for its own chips. Intel is using all of its own capacity for its own chips.
