I have listened to the views of the public and many of our staff and we have now agreed that Defib can remain at Walthamstow Ambulance Station.
Defib is much-loved by staff at Walthamstow Ambulance Station and evidently, he has won the hearts of the public too.
It's been a busy November for our education teams with lots of new frontline and control room staff joining #TeamLAS 💚
These Newly Qualified Paramedics are excited to move to the next stage of their ambulance careers! ⬇️
Well done to everyone starting new roles this month👏
As part of our mission to share life-saving #CPR and defib skills with Londoners, we're expanding our bank of #TeamLAS staff and volunteers who are ready to deliver public-facing training. Coming to a #LondonLifesavers event near you! 👋💚

This is so upsetting to see. I have had patients make these sorts of threats to myself and colleagues in the past. I know people who have been assaulted. Thankfully, no one has physically assaulted me YET!!!
A woman who pleaded guilty at #Swindon Magistrates to grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker was sentenced on 2.2.23 to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years.

People. I cannot stress this enough. Do not make up resp rate.
ESPECIALLY when a patient is short of breath.
You don’t know who you might be treating and which HCP might be watching you!
Especially if it’s their own family.
Let’s treat everyone like we would treat our own kin.
