The Trump DOJ is now arguing in federal court that Elon Musk’s AI company should be allowed to run dozens of unpermitted gas turbines polluting a Black community in Mississippi. They also argued the federal government should have the power to shut down citizen lawsuits like this one entirely. 

This is the Justice Department intervening on behalf of a polluter, against the people breathing the air it’s polluting. 

That’s not protecting national security. That’s protecting Elon Musk.

The Trump administration just paid Invenergy $765 million to cancel four wind projects. That brings the running total to roughly $2.5 billion in taxpayer money spent to stop energy from being built.

Think about that.

At a time when electricity demand is rising, the Trump administration is spending billions to reduce the amount of power that could reach the grid.

Trump has spent years attacking wind turbines as ugly and inefficient. He is entitled to his opinions about how they look. He is not entitled to make taxpayers finance those opinions.

Seven states have already sued over earlier agreements. Federal courts have repeatedly found legal defects in this administration’s efforts to halt offshore wind development. The administration has cited national security concerns while providing little public evidence to support them, and judges have said they were not convinced.

Strip away the politics and what remains is hard to defend.

Billions in taxpayer money paid to private companies to cancel planned energy projects during a period of rising demand.

Governments usually spend money to build things.

This administration is spending billions to make sure some things never get built.

France's domestic spy agency has terminated its contract with Palantir.

The news couldn't come at a worse time for Palantir. France is the second country in as many weeks to cancel its work with the creepy surveillance company led by CEO Alex Karp. The plan is for this plane to be in service for two years and then Trump will take if for himself. No President has ever stolen an Air Force for himself.

And you paid for it. The total cost could be $1 billion of your money for a new luxury jet for Trump and his family.

🚨BREAKING: DHS is trying to argue that the ICE agent, who drove illegally down the shoulder of a highway and pointing a gun at innocent U.S. citizens, was just “performing his official duties.”

And that prosecuting him is “nothing more than a political stunt.”

According to prosecutors, this wasn’t some active takedown, or dangerous suspect situation.

It was rush hour traffic.

The agent allegedly chose to drive down the highway shoulder to get around it, and when a civilian vehicle got in his way… he pointed a GUN at the people inside.

And DHS’s response is… you can’t prosecute him because he’s an ICE agent, and he was doing his job.

So now we’re supposed to believe that illegally using the shoulder of a state highway, and pointing a GUN at random U.S. citizens, is just… a standard ICE procedure?

The law is actually pretty clear on when officers can point a weapon at someone… it’s tied to an objectively reasonable belief of an immediate threat, or the need to prevent serious harm during a lawful enforcement action.

It is not a free for all to use force because someone is in your way on the highway.

And that’s exactly why DHS defending this is so dangerous.

If “official duties” becomes a blanket excuse for this kind of behavior, then the standard shifts from what the law allows… to whatever a federal agent says was necessary in the moment.

And once you do that, accountability disappears… and so do your rights.

ICE deport couple—leave their 2 dogs locked inside their home to die.

They were left without food or water for 1 whole week—until apartment manager went to check on the smell.

"Yes! This is ICE's fault!" said animal welfare guy.

"It is 1000% their responsibility to notify us."

If any law enforcement agency involved knows that there are animals at the scene—they are mandated reporters to animal welfare.

"Why are people coming out of left field to defend ICE in this situation?" he asks.
