@tylerblack32 Thank you for this! I was born and raised in the U.S., but have lived in Vancouver for 7 years and am a dual citizen now. Even I am avoiding American travel and goods. This all makes me so angry.
@osbornforne This is my hometown and the plant has been operating since the 80s. Itโs the largest employer in the town and this shutdown will absolutely devastate the town of 11,000 people.
@TiredOldWriter @Dizzybutterflyy Iโve written part of a book about my experiences and itโs been very cathartic. It may never see the light of day, but Iโm glad Iโve gotten it out of my mind so it has less power over me.
@TiredOldWriter @Dizzybutterflyy I grew up with a covert narcissist mother and enabling father and have been estranged from them for 6 year. This time of year is so painful, even though I know I made the right decision for me and my kids. Iโm sorry you had to grow up with this too.
#KidLitPit I self-published Hair Pride in November 2023. Inspired by my own experience with alopecia, the book encourages children to love and celebrate their hair, no matter what it looks like. Hair Pride also reminds kids that their beauty comes from within. #C#INSP
@MrsPA_C @garyleeh1988 We moved to Vancouver from the SF Bay Area 3 years ago. A big reason was for my kidโs safety. We love it here and we need more doctors!
@itsgabrielleu I really respect how you talk about the hard things that happened to you so you can help others. Grief isnโt linear and an innocent thing can bring back so much trauma. Thanks for always being vulnerable and real. Also born in Nebraska and love that youโre proud of that!
@CPark_MD Philz is my favorite coffee. I lived in SF for 15 years and moved to Vancouver Canada a few months before Covid hit. I miss Philz so much- nothing here compares so far!
@PennyDaflos I met you at a coffee shop right before you left for your trip. Iโm so glad you had a nice time off and got some beautiful pictures. Thanks again for all of your reporting!
