Seriously. I am tired. Its 2021 and we still hear jokes like "Avana nee..." There is bodyshaming, insult comedy and now homophobic background comments. This is not done. This is not cool. The makers of the show #CookWithComali2 edit/remove it. @MediaMasons@vijaytelevision
Alerting @chennaipolice_ to this outbreak of online anti-LGBTQIA+ hate on social media after this year's Pride march announcement. We have much appreciated the support of Chennai police over the last 15 years of Pride march in Chennai, and hope this year will be safe for us too.
Hello Chennai, as you know, our city is gearing up to host its Pride March in two weeks (tentatively on 30th June). We are currently looking for donations from the community and allies to make it a colorful celebration like we have done in the past.
Great to know that Kaathal has even touched this homophobe. Everything he says is pointless, unless he apologises for Vettaiyadu Vilayadu. This is a long pending apology from his side to the Tamil queer community.

Today's Supreme Court judgment has left the LGBTQ+ community in a deep sense of sadness. The refusal to accord legal recognition to same-sex marriage is indeed disheartening, as it reflects the continued struggle for equality and acceptance. While it brings sadness to the community, it is important to know that the judgement has left it to the elected members in the Parliament to deal with this issue.
I wholeheartedly urge the Union Government to amend the Special Marriages Act to include provisions for same-sex marriage. It's about recognizing love, commitment, and equality for all, regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

Where is the Alaipayuthey for queer people? Or Premam with a queer woman in the lead? As Pride Month draws to a close, @kannandeepan writes why its time Tamil cinema had a happy queer romance.
