My first time trying a 1:72 scale airplane model, and I chose a Tamiya kit. I really like the airplane's interior, whether it's a WWII fighter or a passenger plane, it's just a pity that Tamiya doesn't provide decal for the instrument panel.

@me262a1au4 @MAXIMUM_ODEN Germany did come close to success—Operation Barbarossa nearly wiped out all of the Soviet military forces in the west. If it weren't for logistical issues and aid from Britain and the US, I don't think the Soviet could have defeated Germany just based on the spirit of its people

@VoicesofWW2 This is a C-54 transport plane, which is the military version of the DC-4. The 1/144 scale kit from Academy includes the paint scheme of General MacArthur's plane.

@Konrad7Konrad @VoicesofWW2 Including losses from previous battles, the Germans ended up losing five Tigers and four Panzer IVs, while the British only lost a total of 14 tanks and 13 afv. For the Germans, those five Tigers were really precious, since before July 30th, Tigers were hardly ever replenished.

@Konrad7Konrad @VoicesofWW2 Ironically, the German losses in Bocage village were greater compared to the British. With Lehr's support, the Germans attacked the town again, instantly losing three Tiger tanks and a Panzer IV.

@revsandy01 Also, Academy skipped the hatch supports—normally there would be two metal supports when the hatches are open. These are a few visible internal parts that I hope Academy will include.

@revsandy01 It would be great if Academy could make this kit’s interior a bit more detailed. The inside of the command tower lacks detail, including the hatches for the driver and co-driver. It would be nice if there were details on the back of the hatches.

@tamamokei003 @6HglyhNegu65723 In the end, I found a very niche paint brand online that works really well, but the process is extremely complicated and even requires an oven, which was really frustrating.🥲🥲🥲

@tamamokei003 @6HglyhNegu65723 This thing costs about ten times as much in China as other brands like Tamiya. I remember it cost me 110 RMB. I'm looking for paint that can create a mirror-like reflection effect to make the skin of 1930s airliners or WWII bombers, but this one doesn't reflect well.

@DanielH85442891 @Bloodrave1984 @DrHelenFry You need a fair comparison. There's no doubt that the M4 is far better than the T3476, and the M4A3E8 is also not inferior to the T3485. And as for the Panther tank, it weighs 46 tons, which is much heavier than the M26.
