Looking forward to this next week, it feels like bunking off being present in the room, not being able to do any admin for almost a whole week 😂😎

[Zarah Sultana MP @zarahsultana]

It's a good time to remember that the Chairman of the BBC is Richard Sharp, someone who's donated £400,000+ to the Conservatives and helped Boris Johnson with an £800,000 loan.

Let's remember that when they talk about BBC "impartiality".

[Together With Refugees 🧡 @RefugeeTogether]

Denying people the human right to claim asylum. Forcibly removing people to Rwanda. Locking people up simply for seeking safety.

This cruel law does not represent us.

It's time for a fair, compassionate & workable asylum system. Who's with us?

We were on at 5:20 just to confuse everyone! We were upstaged by Sunak’s depressing press conference. Hopefully we provided at least a small seed of hope, an example of small actions towards a welcome society to counter the overwhelmingly hostile rhetoric which came after us

🎧Listen to @bbc5live at 5:30 this afternoon to hear @TamsinSarahCook and Matilya chat about green spaces in urban areas and the work we’re doing with Lincoln Greeners 🌱 https://t.co/ZctJuskcel

[Caroline Lucas @CarolineLucas]

“No-one can doubt our generosity of spirit” says Rishi Sunak - as he announces one of the most sickening crackdowns on people fleeing war, terror & climate chaos in living memory

Without trade unions we wouldn't have:

• Annual leave
• Sick pay
• A minimum wage
• A two day weekend
• Maternity leave
• Protection from workplace discrimination
• 8 hour working days
• Redundancy pay
• Health and safety in the workplace
• Workplace pensions

Whatever happens this morning to English especially London arts organisations, there will be a lot of upset and self-blame where there should be anger. Remember this isn’t the fault of arts leaders or even ACE, it’s 12 years of Tory austerity funding, followed by Nadine Dorries.

[Tamsin Cook @TamsinSarahCook]

Had such a great day @MafwaTheatre, so good to see Associate Artists bossing it and doing Mafwa proud 🧡🧡🧡

[Cultural Institute @UniLeedsCulture]
