#TeamAD got a sneak peek!
Last night, we and some special guests enjoyed a private viewing of Stephen Iliffe's "Deaf Mosaic Exhibition" before it opens to the public today!

#TeamAD would like to welcome Tanvir Ahmed, Alison France and Alan Wright, who have joined the @ActionDeafness Board of Trustees.
AD is delighted they are joining the organisation, especially as we look to start our new 3-year strategy.

Minister for Disabled People, @VotePursglove, met with @CEOActionDeafns to speak about Craig’s appointment as Co-chair of the BSL Advisory Board 🎉
“Congratulations on your appointment. It’s tremendous and I’m really looking forward to working with you!”
It's not always an one way street re: #999BSL Perhaps we should be realistic and actually this service would be more of a benefit for hearing people out there, this video explains why I have said this...
We caught up with Tanvir at the #BSLRally. Now the #BSLBill has been passed, he believes basic #BSL should be taught in schools to better prepare them for the future.
Do you agree?
"Today, the Government has backed a Private Members' Bill introduced by Rosie Cooper MP (@rosie4westlancs). The time is right to make #BritishSignLanguage a part of everyone's lives" - Minister for Disabled People @NorwichChloe

It was great to attend the @BritishSignBSL drop in session yesterday. @rosie4westlancs has a private members to declare BSL an official language of the UK. I met @chloesmithmp later in the day and discussed a visit to @MyDoncaster & my hope for the bill’s success. 🙏🏻

One form of communication support that deaf people and people with hearing loss might use are speech-to-text reporters (STTRs). You might see them using a normal keyboard or a stenography machine like the one below. ⌨️
Find out more about STTRs here https://t.co/C2rNlb5E3u
Disappointed to see @GBNEWS launch with the mission of telling us "what the country is talking about" yet their content has been broadcast, streamed & shared without subtitles, making it inaccessible to deaf people across the UK. #SubtitleIt
