This has been weighing on me since seeing it yesterday, I'm going to add in one of my favorite mini quotes "Failure is tuition you pay for future success" Because the feelings of inadequacy and failure can often times drag us down. Dust Off, Learn, Keep Growing! #HurdleLife
If your dreams about tomorrow only require the abilities you have today, you haven't dreamt yet. Feeling inadequate about a goal isn't a sign to stop. It's a sign that something will stretch you beyond who you are today. Use discomfort as confirmation not discouragement.
@DecathletesOfEu Who would be the in Hept 60m best in the world. I did a quick search of the recents, and didn’t find any results faster than 6.61 for Chris.
This is, of course, less relevant in the 60m or 100m, which is the first event in the competition, so athletes are as fresh as they would be in an individual event.
But the point of principle and distinction remains.
@noahwilliams24 The old homestead is getting a Dunkin next year, and rumors that Tim Hortons has been looking too.

“That’s what we do, we bounce back. We’ve got a resilient group and it’s a testament to the character in our clubhouse”

Motivation comes and goes — discipline stays.
Anyone can work hard when they feel like it. The great ones do it even when they don’t.
Give yourself grace for being human — but don’t give yourself an excuse. Discipline is a decision, not a feeling.
There’s an essay where a famous magician says the secret to magic is doing an inconceivable amount of work for a trick. So much work that it’s easier for audience to believe you are magic.
I think this might be the key to doing anything great.
@RedbeardInKY@CoachHarney77@nationalthrows NFHS and NCAA have been working pretty diligently to align with world athletics and usatf the past few years. I don’t recall what year it changed, but it’s recent.
