The event, to celebrate oracy, was a remarkable success, with 13 primary schools involved.

Our Year 12 student, Sophia S, was invited to spend a day at the Houses of Parliament. In the evening, Sophia gave a brilliant speech at the House of Lords, speaking on behalf of @voice21oracy, discussing the importance of talk within our classrooms and the power of connections.
Some of our Year 11 students enjoyed a day at the Oaklands College Welwyn Campus. They met with subject tutors as well as exploring the facilities including their state-of-the-art Engineering Department and Learning Resource Centre. It was an informative and insightful trip.

Some of our Year 7 students watched Cinderella at the Alban Arena. It is an important part of the students’ drama education to watch live theatre so this was a fantastic opportunity for students to watch a large-scale professional production and a great way to end the first term.
