As someone who has chickens, I can't tell you how much I love this. I've had many "Kevins" over the years and this person sums them up perfectly. 🤣

**FREE TO A GOOD HOME: KEVIN**

(I knew ya’ll need a 🤣🤣🤣)

Affectionately named after the screaming bird in the Disney Movie "UP". Now accepting applications for the privilege of removing him from our property.

Are you tired of sleeping past 4:00 a.m.? Do you worry that your neighbors might secretly like you? Are the small children in your life becoming a little too comfortable outdoors?

Kevin can help. 🤭

This premium Tractor Supply Special was sold as a “100% sexed female,” making him both a rooster and an excellent introduction to consumer fraud.

Kevin comes fully equipped with:

**A commercial-grade alarm system**
Activates around 4:00 a.m. and repeats every 2.5 minutes. No batteries, electricity, sunrise, emergency, or identifiable reason required. Cannot be disabled.

**Advanced property-security technology**
Deters mail carriers, visitors, toddlers, and any remaining goodwill between you and your neighbors.

**Selective predator response**
When a hawk attacked our flock, Kevin immediately took control of the situation by shoving past the hens and saving the chicken he values most: himself. 😝 The rest of the flock gained valuable independence and problem-solving experience.

**A youth enrichment program**
Kevin recently began chasing small children, helping them improve speed, agility, situational awareness, and respect for poultry. 😝 He is especially courageous when his opponent is under four feet tall and holding a juice box. 😝

**Executive-level leadership**
Kevin contributes no eggs, provides no protection, accepts no feedback, and spends most of the day loudly announcing accomplishments nobody witnessed. 😝
He is ready for upper management.

**Outstanding curb appeal**
He is, unfortunately, very handsome. This has allowed him to avoid consequences for much longer than his personality warrants.

Kevin would be perfect for an experienced rooster owner with plenty of land, no small children, distant neighbors, strong fencing, excellent health insurance, and a deep personal dislike of silence.

His rehoming fee is **$0**, reflecting both his market value and our level of desperation. 🤣🤣

We will include his complete service history, which is just a blank sheet of paper with “SCREAMING” written across it.

Please share. Somewhere out there is a person whose mornings are peaceful, whose children are fearless, and whose neighbors still wave to them.

Kevin is ready to fix all three.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Pelican Who Found His Own Way to School 💖

In 1989, something unusual happened in the Japanese city of Ube. Children at a nursery school were playing in the dirt when a pink pelican with a wide wingspan came gliding down into the middle of the playground, as if he had simply arrived for class.

His name was Kattakun. He lived in Tokiwa Park, on an island in the middle of the lake. Not far away was Meiko Nursery School. No one took him to school. No one kept him in a cage and carried him there. Every day, he flew about 800 metres, went into the classroom, stood beside the piano, swayed his neck along with the songs, and then flew back to the island.

That may be the most beautiful part of the story. Kattakun was not turned into a household pet. Nor did he live simply as a bird on the lake. He found a path somewhere in between: spending his mornings at school with the children, then returning home to his flock.

At the nursery school, the children wore uniforms, lined up and sang along with the music. It was their way of greeting one another and saying: we are in the same class. Kattakun did something similar.

He walked along the glass corridor, entered the room and stood beside the teacher as she played the piano. The children touched his beak and held his wings. Some even sat on his back. He did not become angry or fly away.

To the children, he was not “a strange animal from the zoo”. He was a classmate, different only in having a pouch beneath his bill and the ability to fly.

One day, the school was having its doors and roof repaired. From the sky, Kattakun could no longer recognise the building. He became lost. But when he saw the teacher and the children walking along the road below, he landed and walked alongside them into the classroom. He was not looking for a building. He was looking for people he knew.

Kattakun was born in 1985. He was hatched from an egg by people and hand-reared. Because he grew up around humans, he was not afraid of children, the sound of the piano or the noise of the playground. That was what made it possible for a pelican to become a school visitor.

But there was also a price to this closeness. Pink pelicans normally live in flocks, catch fish and keep their distance from people. Kattakun came to trust humans almost completely.

In 1989, people across Japan saw the story on the news and smiled. Looking back at it now, adults may feel warmth, but also understand something else: the bird had given up much of the caution that comes naturally to a wild creature.

Kattakun died in 2008, at the age of 23. Tokiwa Park still remembers him. The children who once shared a classroom with him have grown up. When they watch the old footage, they see again their winged friend standing beside the piano.

The story needs no miracle. It only needs a sky wide enough for a bird to choose where he wants to go and a classroom open enough to welcome a friend who is different.

The City That Canceled Its Flock Contract Just Signed a $23 Million Deal for Something Worse…

While every activist in America was focused on tearing down Flock cameras, a 40-year-old company was quietly installing surveillance devices inside existing street lights.

Denver canceled its Flock contract. Then it signed a deal with Axon for something far more capable — and far harder to see.

This is Part 1 of a three-part investigation into Axon Enterprise and the next generation of American surveillance infrastructure.

Part 2: The Network

https://t.co/FD9x8FIWHo

Part 3 of this investigation follows the money — from the $220 million ICE contract that costs $12,359 per Taser to the stock purchases that preceded it.

https://t.co/PE5vAYOxEc

The Distraction Worked
For the past eighteen months, the national debate over mass surveillance in America has centered on a single company: Flock Safety. The outrage was earned. Flock deployed over 113,000 solar-powered cameras across 5,000 communities in 49 states, recording more than 20 billion vehicle scans per month without warrants, without public hearings, and in many cases without the knowledge of the citizens being tracked.
The backlash was real. Citizens in at least 23 municipalities forced their city councils to cancel Flock contracts. Activists spray-painted the cameras. A 20-year-old in West Virginia cut one down and received nearly 20,000 alibis from strangers online. Courts ruled the data was a public record. The Institute for Justice filed a landmark Fourth Amendment lawsuit. A Washington man named Jose Rodriguez won the legal right to see his own surveillance footage — and the state legislature responded by making it illegal for anyone to ever ask again.

The resistance was focused, organized, and effective.
It was also aimed at the wrong target.

The Company You Weren't Watching

While every camera Flock installed was a visible, vandal-prone, solar-powered pillar mounted seven feet off the ground with hose clamps, a far more sophisticated system was being deployed by a company most Americans know only as "the Taser people."
Axon Enterprise has been in the law enforcement technology business for nearly 40 years. It manufactures the majority of police body-worn cameras in the United States. It operates https://t.co/8zgq8ObM7W, the dominant cloud platform where police departments store body-cam footage. It makes the Taser weapons carried by officers in virtually every American police department.

In April 2020, Axon partnered with Flock Safety. Two years later — right before Flock became a household name for all the wrong reasons — Axon quietly ended the partnership and stepped out of the spotlight.

It was not stepping away from surveillance. It was building something Flock never could.

The Camera Inside Your Street Light.
The fundamental weakness of Flock's hardware was that you could see it. A black pillar with a solar panel bolted to a pole is obvious. It requires new infrastructure, municipal permitting, and presents an easy target for anyone with a can of spray paint or a pair of bolt cutters.

Axon engineered a solution to all of those problems by exploiting infrastructure that already exists in every city in America.

The Axon Lightpost, developed in partnership with Ubicquia, is a surveillance camera designed to plug directly into the NEMA 7-pin photocell socket — the industry-standard fitting found on top of over 350 million street lights worldwide. That socket has been on lamp poles for 60 years. It traditionally houses a simple light sensor that turns the lamp on at dusk and off at dawn.
Axon replaced the light sensor with an AI-powered license plate reader.
The device draws regulated AC power (up to 480V) directly from the municipal electrical grid. It requires no solar panel, no new pole, no trenching, and no specialized electrical permitting. Installation takes less than fifteen minutes and can be performed by a utility worker with no network engineering skills.
Once energized, it operates autonomously. A built-in LTE modem provides persistent cellular connectivity to Axon's cloud ecosystem, entirely independent of municipal Wi-Fi or on-site network infrastructure. The unit is encased in IK10-rated vandal-resistant housing, carries an IP66 weather rating, and survives hurricane-force winds up to 150 miles per hour. It operates continuously in temperatures from -40°F to 140°F.
The camera module — an Axis Q1800-LE — captures license plates across multiple traffic lanes at distances up to 328 feet, on vehicles traveling at speeds up to 155 miles per hour, at 1080p resolution and 90 frames per second.
It looks like a street light.

The Lightpost is supplemented by the Axon Outpost — a standalone camera that combines ALPR, live video streaming, and Vehicle Attribute Recognition (VAR) for areas without optimal street lighting. It can be mounted on buildings, trailers, poles, or trees, powered by either 110V connections or independent solar panels.
Both devices use Vehicle Attribute Recognition to identify and index not just license plates but the physical characteristics of the vehicle itself — make, model, color, roof racks, bumper stickers, body damage. If a vehicle has no plate, a stolen plate, or the plate is intentionally obscured, the system can still track it.
Axon also deploys Fleet 3, an in-car camera system that turns every police cruiser into a mobile plate reader. Legacy in-car systems had a capture area of approximately 192 cubic feet. Fleet 3 uses a 60-degree field of view covering three full lanes at 50 feet — a detection volume 90 times greater than previous systems, capturing plates at closing speeds of 140 mph and returning hotlist alerts in under one second.
Between the fixed Lightpost cameras hiding in street lights, the flexible Outpost cameras on any available structure, and the mobile Fleet 3 cameras roving in every patrol car, Axon has engineered a layered optical dragnet where practically no vehicular movement can evade detection.

The Brain: Real-Time Crime Centers
Hardware collects data. What makes Axon's system categorically different from Flock is what happens to that data after it's collected.
Axon acquired Fusus, a cloud-native software platform that powers Real-Time Crime Centers (RTCCs) — centralized command hubs where law enforcement analysts monitor walls of screens fed by every sensor in the network simultaneously. The Electronic Frontier Foundation's Atlas of Surveillance has documented over 135 established or forthcoming RTCCs in the United States, with approximately 20% running on Fusus.
Fusus eliminates the data fragmentation that historically limited law enforcement. Body-cam footage, ALPR hits, drone feeds, gunshot detection alerts, and 911 dispatch data used to live in separate, disconnected databases. Fusus pulls all of it into a single, interactive live map.

It gets worse.

Through the "Community Connect" program, Fusus allows private citizens, homeowners' associations, and commercial businesses to voluntarily share their private security camera feeds directly with the police.
Your Ring doorbell.
Your business's CCTV system. Your HOA's gate camera. All of it can be piped into the Real-Time Crime Center and overlaid on the same map as the government's own cameras.

This creates what privacy researchers call a hybridized public-private surveillance mesh. When an incident is reported, an RTCC analyst can instantly access a mosaic of camera angles — an Axon Lightpost scanning the intersection, a business camera viewing the sidewalk, a Ring doorbell covering the driveway — and track a subject's movements in real time.

The platform can also integrate with facial recognition software. It is used not only for live incident response but for historical data mining and predictive policing. Because Fusus permanently records and indexes the movements of millions of citizens, it transforms passive observation into an active, globally searchable database of human behavior — without requiring a warrant.

The Denver Paradigm
If there is a single case study that reveals how this replacement strategy works in practice, it is Denver, Colorado.

In early 2026, following intense public pressure over reports that Flock camera data was being accessed by federal immigration authorities, the Denver City Council opted not to renew its 10-year, $22 million contract with Flock. The council drafted a letter citing Flock's "disregard for honesty and accountability." Civil liberties advocates celebrated.

The celebration was premature.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston rapidly pushed through a one-year, $150,000 contract with Axon to replace the dismantled Flock cameras with 50 new Axon ALPR systems. The justification was revealing: Axon was deemed a "reliable partner" because the city already used Axon to store its body-cam footage on https://t.co/8zgq8ObM7W.

That dependency was not accidental. Just months earlier, Denver had approved a five-year, $27 million contract with Axon for 2,563 new body cameras and 2,175 Tasers. Because Axon already controlled the city's digital evidence vault and hardware infrastructure, the barrier to entry for their surveillance cameras was essentially zero.
This is vendor lock-in operating as designed. Axon weaponized Flock's public relations catastrophe to capture the market — replacing a highly visible threat with a deeply integrated, less transparent, and vastly more capable alternative. The ACLU of Colorado noted that despite promises of 21-day data retention limits, the dragnet surveillance of innocent civilians remained functionally unchanged.

Denver is not unique. This pattern — cancel Flock, sign Axon — is replicating across the country.

The Constitutional Crisis Nobody Filed a Lawsuit Over
The legal challenges to Flock cameras were built on the "Mosaic Theory" of the Fourth Amendment — the principle, recognized by the Supreme Court in Carpenter v. United States (2018), that while a single observation of a vehicle in public may not constitute a "search," the continuous, aggregated collection of location data over time violates a reasonable expectation of privacy.
That theory was successfully applied by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle v. Baltimore Police Department (2021), which struck down Baltimore's aerial surveillance program as unconstitutional.
Axon's system presents the same constitutional violations as Flock — but with additional layers that make legal challenge harder. Because the cameras are physically integrated into existing municipal infrastructure, they don't require the same permitting process that triggered public notice and opposition to Flock installations. Because the data flows through Fusus alongside private camera feeds volunteered by citizens and businesses, the line between government search and private observation is deliberately blurred. Because the entire ecosystem is bundled into multi-year SaaS contracts that also include body cameras and Tasers, separating the surveillance component for legal challenge requires disentangling contracts worth tens of millions of dollars.

Legal scholars have warned that the current Fourth Amendment framework — built for an era of physical trespass and episodic investigation — is fundamentally unequipped to regulate passive, ubiquitous, and continuous digital surveillance. The gap between what the technology can do and what the law can stop is widening every month that a lawsuit is not filed.

What This Means for Your City
There are over 350 million street lights with the NEMA 7-pin socket that the Axon Lightpost was designed to exploit. Installation takes fifteen minutes. No city council vote is required in many jurisdictions. No new infrastructure is visible to the public.
If your city canceled its Flock contract, the most likely replacement is already on the market — and it was designed from the ground up to be invisible, indestructible, and legally entangled with the body cameras and Tasers your police department already depends on.
The question is not whether your city has these cameras. The question is whether anyone on your city council knows the difference between the surveillance system they canceled and the one they just approved.

The Real Story Behind "Rock-a-Bye Baby"

Many years ago, Effie Crockett, the older sister of Davy Crockett, visited the Muskogee Tribe to help some mothers. When she arrived at their camp, she was surprised and even laughed a little.

She saw something unusual — the tribe’s babies were not lying in cradles on the ground. Instead, they were gently tied and hung in small cradles from the branches of birch trees.

Effie thought it was strange at first. But as she stayed longer, she began to understand.

The babies were high above the ground, safe from bugs, hot sun, and wild animals. As the wind blew, the trees rocked them gently — just like a mother’s arms.

Each baby lay peacefully, watching birds, butterflies, and the dancing leaves. The fresh air touched their skin, and they smiled at the world around them.

Effie was deeply touched. One day, she saw a Muskogee mother looking at her child hanging in the cradle. The mother softly sang a song in her native language. As she sang, a tear fell from her eye.

Here is what the song meant:

Rock-a-bye baby on the tree top,
When the wind blows the cradle will rock,
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall,
And down will come baby, cradle and all.

Effie wrote down the song and shared it with others. It became the lullaby we all know today — “Rock-a-Bye Baby.”

But most people never knew the deep meaning behind the song.

The Muskogee mother cried because she knew what the song truly meant. The “branch” holding her baby would one day break. Not from danger — but because her child would grow.

He would outgrow the cradle, fall to the ground, and become strong enough to stand. One day, her baby would no longer need her protection. He would become a man.

The cradle falling was not the end. It was the beginning of his life’s journey.

A Message to All

This lullaby was born from Native American love and wisdom. It reminds us that every moment is precious, that letting go is part of love, and that nature teaches us the gentlest lessons.

Honor the roots of this song. Honor the Native voices that carried its meaning in their hearts.

How about NO on any of these surveillance companies. Otherwise, like most other business models, it will seek to expand as much as possible, in every possible way to maximize the value of its market shares. Leading to an eventuality of no unsurveilled, private space.

I'm noticing cities are ditching Flock for Axon.

I did a little digging. Axon is:
- Backed by BlackRock & Vanguard
- Trump invested $5M earlier this year
- Linked to a firm co-founded by Epstein & Israel PM Ehud Barak

Is this why we are seeing so many viral anti-Flock videos?

[Mary Ann Cox @Tandigirlz]

NC is massively corrupt.
Hispanic and other races are also being labeled White.
Why?
This is to falsely inflate criminal statistics to look like White Caucasians are committing more crimes than they are, while other races/ethic groups are committing less than they are.
