The Indian Tolls Act, 1901 is absolutely clear on this issue. An Army personnel who is from the Regular Army, and not from any other service like Territorial Army etc, WHILE HE IS IN SERVICE, is ON DUTY 24x7 and he is NOT REQUIRED to prove anything else except for he/she being is service which is easily discernible through his/her Identity Card. Hence, there is absolutely no requirement of proving that he is "On Duty" by producing any other document like Movement Order etc. It is very unfortunate that the very same Govt which keeps on blowing it's trumpet that it has done a lot for the Armed Forces Personnel, cannot even follow the law of the land ie, The Indian Tolls Act, 1901.

एक आर्मी अफसर अपनी पत्नी के साथ महिंद्रा SUV में टोल प्लाजा पहुँचे। ड्यूटी पर नहीं थे। टोल देने से इनकार करने लगे।

टोल कर्मी ने शांति से समझाया – ऑन ड्यूटी पर्सन को छूट है, ऑफ ड्यूटी को नहीं। अफसर बोले हम पोस्टेड हैं, ऑन ड्यूटी ही माने जाते हैं। पत्नी भी बहस में कूद गईं।
कर्मी ने बार-बार नियम बताया।

बोला अगर ऑन ड्यूटी हैं तो ऊपर से कन्फर्म करवा दो। लेकिन कोई आर्मी वाहन या ऑफिशियल आइडेंटिटी नहीं थी, सिर्फ कार्ड था।

पूरे वक्त टोल वाला लड़का बहुत शालीन और ठंडे दिमाग से बात करता रहा। जबकि सामने से पत्नी गुस्से से बोल रही थी, फिर भी लड़का संयम नहीं खोया। आखिर में टोल देना ही पड़ा।

In the Ameerpet area of Hyderabad, a Muslim man took his wife to the market to shop for clothes for the Ramadan festival and to get mehndi applied on her hands.

There, the mehndi stall belonged to a Hindu.
The ones applying it were also Hindus.
Hundreds of Muslims who had encroached on the footpath there and set up shops suddenly turned on that Muslim family getting mehndi done.
"How can you let a non-Muslim touch your wife's hands to apply mehndi? Would you let them apply mehndi to your wife? If you must, then go somewhere known to Islam, remove that burqa, and get it done. We have no concern in this," they said, creating an uproar that was far from ordinary. In the end, without even considering that he was a fellow Muslim, they hurled so many abuses at him. Ultimately, they even went as far as trying to beat him.
If there are so many restrictions just for applying mehndi in Islam, then what is to become of Hindu girls who go around with Muslims? What is needed?
