Sometimes, we want connection but don’t feel safe enough to receive it. Learning to accept nurturing touch is a process, and it’s okay to go at your own pace.
Touch is a biological necessity. Do you want to regulate your nervous system, lower stress, and improve your well-being? Then you need safe, intentional touch.
Not all touch is the same. Healing touch feels different because it’s based on trust, care, and mutual respect. As a cuddle therapist, I work at creating a safe container for my client regardless of where they are with touch.
I think emotional safety is the foundation of any healing practice when working with a therapist or practitioner. Being trauma informed, discussing boundaries and utilizing consent should be the foundation of any 1:1 work.
I dreamt that I was dancing with @realJGoldblum at a restaurant. It was the most exciting and we looked fabulous together. @KyleRichards was there too, and I had to show her how to do it. I had such a great time last night while I was sleeping. 🎉🥂
