Trauma makes you please others and drain yourself by focusing too much on how they feel and making sure they feel ok. Healing makes you realize it's not your responsibility to regulate other people's emotions and manage their insecurities.
I feel more accomplished when I open and reply to the 20 snapchats I let build over two weeks than when I finally turn in an assignment that took me 5 hours 🥴
