@liusaidhbeattie @BBCHighlands I heard it while I was working outside on Tanglewood's loch side. I would have put it closer to seven thirty and it seemed to come from somewhere beyond Ullapool. It was a single very noticeable crump sound. It reminded me of hearing the firing range near Durness in action.

Quite often we don't get the same weather as further south in the UK, but today it is on the warm side at Tanglewood House. Even the bulbs in our Galileo thermometer have all made it to the bottom.

Tanglewood's designer, builder and first owner, Trevor Rogers, died at the end of 2018. It's his funeral today. We were lucky to meet him when he came on a surprise visit in May last year. The photo shows him standing beside one of his original drawings for the house. RIP Trevor.
