We, the #ZhaoLusi International Fan Community, express our collective support and commitment to Zhao Lusi in light of the testimony she has courageously shared regarding her treatment by her management company, KU.

After reading her account, we are both heartbroken and angered. The emotional abuse, gaslighting, financial exploitation, manipulation, and threats she endured are not only gravely unjust, but a betrayal of the respect and care every individual deserves.

Over the years, Zhao Lusi appears to have faced gaslighting, and even the threat that she might be blacklisted from the entertainment industry if she continued posting content independently. Her personal studio was quietly dismantled, leaving her without adequate professional support, effectively isolating and abandoning her, despite her ongoing commitment to her work and her fans.

Earlier this year, Zhao Lusi revealed that she had been suffering from depression. As her condition became public, it appears her agency deemed her no longer valuable. In response, they gradually dissolved her studio team, withheld resources, redirected blame onto her, and ultimately abandoned her at a time when she needed support the most. Instead of standing by her during a vulnerable period, they isolated her further and sought to silence her.

We call for her full release from any oppressive contractual obligations, and for her right to pursue independent legal action without interference. No artist should be silenced for speaking their truth. Zhao Lusi deserves the freedom to reclaim her career, her wellbeing, and her voice.
