Cease-fire. Ok. Now:
Cease-colonialism
Cease-apartheid
Cease-blockades
Cease-segregation
Cease-blocking the right of return of refugees
Cease-home demolitions
Cease-displacement
Until then it's a temporary cease-fire & full-time cease-peace.
To be clear: Israel is still bombarding Gaza, at least for the next 20 minutes. My friend in the Strip tells me bombardment is usually heaviest before a “ceasefire”
Hi, as a person living in Palestine I can confirm that we are being ethnically cleansed. Actually have been for the past 73 years. But don’t take my word for it. What do I know? Believe the white woman in a Manhattan high rise saying “Palestinians do face some challenges but..”
Celebrations celebrations everywhere in #Gaza. It’s 3:45 am and people still in the streets chanting and celebrating 🥳.
Yes, we survived the 4th war in 12 years and still we’re here standing & fighting for our freedom. Will not give up until we have our rights. You hear, #Israel
Masyaallah it is not the end but Palestine can finally take a break. May allah accept the syahid of al aqsa protectors. May every pain be healed. May the joy of eid wash away their sadness. May our help arrive soon.
Eid Mubarak Palestine 💗

I welcome the news of a ceasefire in #Gaza. Yet, remember, aside from 100s dead—1000+ injured, precious infrastructure destroyed, blockade persists, occupation continues, trauma is widespread. A ceasefire protects immediate loss of life, but it is NOT the end. Push for justice.
Please, please, please world media: Don't talk about a "return to calm" or "an end to violence" in #Gaza when the ceasefire comes.
There is no calm for Palestinians under blockade, there is no end to violence under occupation. One side's calm is the other's perpetual oppression
I knew Iraqis were down for Palestine when I was drinking a coke and my Iraqi friend saw me and said “do you enjoy drinking Palestinian blood?” I was so embarrazzed
