There is an inescapable consensus that community is what will save us. But what do we mean by a term that is used by brand and activist alike? In the spring issue, we consider how community is indexed, what it offers us politically and – ultimately – how we might move beyond it.

Pope Francis has passed away at the age of 88.
He spoke out against Israel’s war crimes and barbarism against the Palestinian people in Gaza, while European, British, and American leaders fuelled a genocide.
In November, Gaza journalist Hossam Shabat wrote about seeing his father's friend. “He had 4 sons and one after another, they were killed over the span of a year. His last son and wife were killed last month. Now, he sleeps on the streets with no family." Now Hossam too is gone.
The Rafah crossing, where sick and wounded Gazans congregated to be evacuated, was bombed relentlessly. The intention to kill the already wounded is clear. The criminality is palpable. The complicity of the US-European rulers is mind numbing.
There is an inescapable consensus that community is what will save us. But what do we mean by a term that is used by brand and activist alike? In the spring issue, we consider how community is indexed, what it offers us politically and – ultimately – how we might move beyond it.

Today BPC & UK Gaza Community held an urgent press conference about the catastrophic situation in northern Gaza, breaking the media blackout - that Israel’s systematic targeting of journalists has produced - with firsthand witness testimony from Gazans and healthcare workers.
Today, @tankmagazine proudly hosted the @BritPalCommitt for their first press conference in a small but mighty bid to counter the murderous media blackout by western media that refuses to acknowledge the ongoing Palestinian genocide perpetrated by the state of Israel

Michael Taussig sent back postcards from his travels to his granddaughter, Mia. The collected cards form a portrait of an anthropological enquiry into how adults construct the child’s imagination – and an artistic representation of sustained care.
