@HagusAnimations@cosmicseternity The people from 2010s fandom culture are the ones making shows now and it shows through their prioritization of fan engagement above letting the content speak for itself. Like yeah you can do what you want with your show and presentation, but it is a little lame.
@awawawhoami With how much final scores matter nowadays, people forget that you were intended to follow specific critics. It’s not about agreeing with them, but forming an understanding of their biases so you can rationalize how it relates to your own taste. Critique was never objective.
@kurom3owz I still believe the day of Kirk’s death was the funniest, because any memes or posts were from people who knew of and genuinely hated, him rather than edgy teenagers on tik tok.
@RootBeer_Billie Friends hyped up Iowa as one of the darkest, most impactful albums ever. I listened and it was extremely dull, repetitive, and just simply lame.
@lauryncantsing Listening to music you enjoy rather than trying to maintain an aesthetic is so cool. That’s not even hating on acclaimed works, most albums highly praised online are in fact really damn good, people are just incapable of talking about the actually music. Agree with everything.
@regularaugust DRV3 is really funny cause as conflicted as I am on that game’s ending, I do have to appreciate that it’s probably the most I’ve ever thought about the end of any game lol. A bit frustrating but damn did they commit and I gotta give that credit.
