The most perplexing decision in NHL history was Edmonton passing on Jesper Wallstedt in the 2021 draft just to add an extra 3rd round pick by trading down.
The Oilers picks are playing in the 2nd division in Germany and the AHL while Wallstedt is a franchise goalie in the NHL.
These are the Oilers we've seen all season. They can play well but can't sustain it. Their mistakes are horrid. They can't stop the bleeding. They stubbornly stick to what they think should work, even when it doesn't.
The Ducks are playing with passion and pace.
I just realized what Darnell Nurse reminds me of!💡
You know when a controller gets disconnected while playing video hockey. The player stands there doing nothing as the game continues on around them. That’s Nurse almost every shift.
Someone plug in the controller!!🎮
#Oilers
Team that has beat you twice in Cup Final, has chanted about your best players and chirped them and on home ice in a game you need to win you show up with no emotion and no physicality and now trail after 20 minutes. Not enough grit on this team.
Tristan Jarry was waived and sent to the minors 14 months ago by Pittsburgh. Him not providing NHL-calibre goaltending this season really shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise. Let’s be honest, the only surprise is giving up Skinner, Kulak, and a second-round pick to get him.
Brad Jacobs’ rink, after being attacked globally for two weeks, win the Gold medal.
Congratulations to Brad, Marc, Brett and Ben.
This is also the last time we’ll have to acknowledge Oskar Eriksson of Sweden.
F*** off Oskar.
Wow seeing Dave Chappelle was an absolute bucket list. At the same time #Edmonton what a complete embarrassment of a crowd, more than once he mentioned how much time he had left because the crowd would not Shut.The.Fuck.Up
1 of the greatest of all time and the crowd was brutal
