The Wartburg College baseball team earned seven American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) All-Conference selections, highlighted by freshman Tanner Jackson being named A-R-C Rookie of the Year - the first player in program history to receive the honor, the league announced Tuesday.
Emerson Albherhasky, Andrew Gallegos and Andrew Robinson each earned All-A-R-C Second Team recognition. Conner Funk, Griffin Troha, Charlie Krueger and Jackson received honorable mention nods.

The Wartburg College baseball team (26-15 overall) claimed the 2026 American Rivers Conference Tournament Championship with a 5-2 victory over Coe College Sunday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The title marked the Knights' first A-R-C Tournament crown since 2017 and the program's league-best 11th tournament championship overall. Wartburg also became the first No. 4 seed to capture the conference tournament title since the 2009 Knights squad accomplished the feat.
Sophomore right-hander Emerson Alberhasky delivered another dominant postseason performance on the mound, striking out seven across 7.1 innings. Alberhasky pushed his season strikeout total to 105, setting a new single-season program record and surpassing Ryan Doty's previous mark of 104 set during the 2012 campaign.
With the conference tournament championship, the Knights secured the program's 15th all-time berth into the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament.

The Wartburg College baseball team (22-14 overall, 13-11 A-R-C) capped its regular season with a straight sweep of the University of Dubuque with a 10-1 victory Sunday afternoon at Dan W. Runkle Baseball field.
With the win, the Knights secured their highest conference win total since the 2018 campaign with their 13th today.
Andrew Robinson added to the record-setting day in the seventh inning, getting hit by a pitch for the 25th time this season to mark a new single-season program record. The Knights also set a team single-season mark with Robinson's same pitch to total 81 – tops the previous record held in 2024.

The Wartburg College baseball team (17-11 overall, 8-8 A-R-C) secured its first American Rivers Conference series sweep since 2022 with a dominant Sunday showing at Harms Stadium at Hertel Field, defeating Buena Vista University (9-25 overall, 5-15 A-R-C) 5-0 in game one before closing the weekend with a 13-3, eight-inning run-rule victory in the finale.
Wartburg’s combined shutout in game one secured the program’s first shutout victory since the 2024 season.

The Wartburg College baseball team has been selected to finish third in the 2026 American Rivers Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league announced today.
The Knights earned 41 points, marking their highest preseason ranking since tying for third prior to the 2021 season. Wartburg finished fourth in last year's conference tournament.
Head coach Casey Klunder, entering his third season at the helm, has compiled a 44-39 overall record and has taken the Knights to the conference tournament in each of his two seasons. During the 2025 season, Klunder guided the team to four All-Conference honorees and saw four players recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District. Over his three seasons, Klunder has coached eight All-Conference players, two All-Region selections, and one All-American.
The Knights return a blend of experience with 15 freshmen, 18 sophomores, 10 juniors, eight seniors, and one fifth-year player. Wartburg ranked among the program's best in several statistical categories last season, including second in hit-by-pitches (62), fifth in home runs (38), seventh in strikeouts (304), and tied for eighth in runners picked off (6).
Wartburg leads the American Rivers Conference with 23 league championships, with its most recent title coming in 2017.
